Monster Hunter Wilds will introduce a slew of new large and small monsters of all shapes and sizes to the series, and you'll be able to hunt all of them as you go through the game.
Hook Slinger Uses
---
Use the Hook Slinger to gather items from a distance, even while riding your Seikret mount.
Use your Slinger to interact with environmental hazards to trap and damage large monsters.
Swing around using Wedge Beetles to move around and climb faster.
The Hook Slinger is an equipment that you can use for a variety of purposes, whether for material gathering, in combat, or for mobility.

Seikrets are bird-like creatures that hunters can use as a mount to easily travel across the map. They function similarly to Palamutes from Monster Hunter Rise, as you can even customize them!
You can use your Seikret to automatically take you to a monster you are tracking, sharpend your equipped weapon or switch to your secondary, and a lot more.
Seikret Mount Features and Abilities

The weather and environment in locales can change rapidly during hunts, a phenomenon called the Inclemency. These include sand and lightning storms in the Windward Plains, pouring rain in the Scarlet Forest, and fiery eruptions in the Oilwell Basin.

Monster Hunter Wilds introduces a wound system where attacking a monster's wounds deals more damage and has a chance to knock them down, thereby opening a window of opportunity to attack!
You can destroy monster wounds with Focus Attacks via Focus Mode, which highlights a monster's active wound spots.

Some weapons that can execute Perfect Guards will be able to utilize what is called a Power Clash, where hunters will be able to push back a monster's attack and get a chance to launch a counterattack.
Offset Attacks are unique counterattack moves that can make monster flinch after building up damage with the said move.
The Great Sword, Switch Axe, Hunting Horn, Hammer, and Heavy Bowgun has access to Offset Attacks, which allow these heavy weapons to counter monster attacks!
All Offset Attacks and How to Use

You can now also equip two separate weapons per hunt and you'll be able to change your current weapon while riding your Seikret. This will allow you to use two different weapon types!

Solo hunters who wish to avoid playing with other online players but want to experience a typical hunt can now call on NPC Support Hunters during hunts.
These AI-controlled hunters will hunt alongside you, and their behavior can be configured in the game's options.
How to Bring Support Hunters in Quests

In Monster Hunter Wilds, the open field and your base of operations are seamlessly connected. You can move between areas without going to a loading screen.

Attacking monsters out in the field and dealing enough damage can now start quests if you deal enough damage to your target. The seamless map and the ability to receive quests right away make it possible to hunt multiple monsters in succession.
Do note that it still possible to start quests normally by simply talking to Alma and accepting a quest.

Pop-up Camps act as tents that can be placed in certain areas in the map where you can refill items, change your equipment, or cook meals.
These camps are useful if you do not want to return all the way back to your main base camp, but do note that these can be easily destroyed by monsters wandering about!
In previous Monster Hunter games, dropped items will disappear after a certain period of time.
In this game, the dropped items mechanic has been removed and items will be moved automatically to your pouch.
List of All Items and Materials

As a first in the series, Palicos now have actual voices and can speak in human language in Monster Hunter Wilds. However, you can still revert to the familiar meowing sounds in previous games by toggling it in the settings menu!

Some monsters in the game now move as a group, with the Alpha monster being the main target of the hunt. You need to change your tactics whenever you're dealing with a herd of monsters, so plan your moves well!

The game's minimap has also received a nice upgrade, as it is now three-dimensional and you can change the angle of the map when viewing it. This also makes it easier to see the difference in elevation of the terrain and depth of the entire locale.

You can pick up barrel bombs and throw them at monsters. This makes bombing monsters during their sleep a lot easier!
In Monster Hunter Wilds, the hunter player character is fully voiced. You may hear your character's voiceline during the main story and even on hunts.
