Lagiacrus in March 25 Teaser

A teaser at the end of the March 25 Showcase showed the bottom half of a monster strongly thought to be Lagiacrus, returning for the first time since Monster Hunter Generations. Although its head is hidden, the long, gold-plated neck gives it away!

Lagiacrus is expected to arrive with Title Update 2 in Summer 2025.

Speculated Upcoming Monsters

Nergigante

Monster Hunter Wilds Nergigante Elder Dragon

As the flagship Elder Dragon of Monster Hunter: World, Nergigante remains one of the most highly requested monsters for Monster Hunter Wilds.

With the recent confirmation of Gore Magala, speculation is only natural for a monster of the same caliber. Fans will have to eagerly wait to see if this fearsome predator will make a satisfying reappearance!

Diablos

Monster Hunter Wilds Diablos Full Body

Diablos is one of the most iconic monsters in the Monster Hunter series, well-known to veteran players for its dominance over desert biomes. Given that Monster Hunter Wilds features Windward Plains, a landscape well-suited to Diablos, its inclusion would feel like a natural fit.

Flagship and Fan Favorites

Zinogre Zinogre Tigrex Tigrex
Nargacuga Nargacuga Lagiacrus Lagiacrus

Zinogre, Nargacuga, and Tigrex, as flagship monsters of their respective games, have frequently appeared in later Monster Hunter titles, reinforcing their status as recurring favorites. Given their popularity and history of returning in sequels, it is possible they may be included in the game.

Lagiacrus might unfortunately have a lower chance of joining this growing roster of powerful monsters due to technical limitations, though players may still hold out hope for his future inclusion in the game!

New Monsters

Monster Hunter Wilds New Monsters

While there is speculation on bringing back iconic monsters from past games, there’s always the possibility that Capcom could introduce a brand-new monster in future updates.

A fresh addition to the roster would keep the hunt exciting while also expanding Monster Hunter Wilds’ world and story, ensuring both new and veteran players stay engaged.
