Monster Hunter Wilds - How Long to Beat

You can beat Monster Hunter Wilds' story within 13 to 20 hours of gameplay. Check this guide to know how long it takes to beat the game and its campaign and story length!

How Long to Beat Monster Hunter Wilds

Around 13-20 Hours to Beat the Story

Start of Wilds to Low Rank End
Experienced Hunters 13-15 hours
Newer Hunters 18-20 hours

The main campaign of Monster Hunter Wilds can be beaten within 13 to 20 hours from the start of the game until the end of Low Rank where the story wraps up. Experienced players may breeze through the game, while newer players may spend a couple more hours to get materials for crafting and upgrading gear.

The game's progression is tied to story chapters, which is a first in the series, but regular quests are still available.

List of Main Story Chapters

Endgame Revolves Around High Rank

High Rank

High Rank will be unlocked after beating the campaign, which is primarily the focus of the endgame.

Similar to Monster Hunter World and Iceborne, Monster Hunter Wilds' endgame revolves around getting stronger, hunting stronger monsters, and getting better gear while progressing through High Rank.

How to Unlock High Rank

Total Time to Finish Monster Hunter Wilds

Start of High Rank to End Game
Experienced Hunters 30-35 Hours
Newer Hunters 35-40 Hours

Expect to spend 40 hours of gameplay progression powering up and beating the final High Rank Story Boss in Monster Hunter Wilds.

From that point onwards, players are expected to grind and farm Hunter Ranks, get stronger and sink in hours on the postgame loop until Title Update 1's launch.
