Just like in the HR36++ build, use the Szelatya Clairgun for its Pierce Rapid Fire capabilities. This LBG can quickly stack up damage due to its fast reload with Opening Shot and high base damage.

Slot in a Critical Jewel 3 to enhance the damage of your Critical Hits, and then add a Precise Jewel 2 to stabilize the Critical Distance. Lastly, equip an Opener Jewel I to reach max level Opening Shot.

If you are using the Burst Step setup, slotting in a Pierce Jewel may work better as you won't be hitting critical attacks as much.

Black Eclipse 2.0 LBG Armor Loadout

Build Explanation and Skill Summary

Similar to the HR36++ build, this endgame High Rank build leans on the Affinity and Damage boost of Black Eclipse 2 to deal increased Raw damage. Additionally, there are two decoration setups you can run with this build: one for staying at a distance, and one where you take advantage of the Light Bowgun's Burst Step.

The first setup, which relies on you staying at a distance and only dodging when necessary, utilizes Maximum Might to give a 30% affinity bonus, as well as an additional level of Burst to deal more damage. In the Burst Step setup, on the other hand, you will sacrifice the extra level of Burst and all levels of Maximum Might for Adrenaline Rush, Evade Extender, and another level in Evade Window. If you are confident in your dodging, you can forgo the Evade decorations and equip three Flawless Jewels for Peak Performance 3, which gives an additional 10 Raw attack when your HP is full.

In both setups, Black Eclipse works with Antivirus to get an additional 25% Affinity and 15 Raw attack. Due to this combination of synergies, it is possible to reach 70% affinity when using the Mid-range setup to boost the massive damage buff you gain with Antivirus, Agitator, and Maximum Might. While your Affinity will only reach 40% in the Burst Step setup, the additional damage you get from Burst and Adrenaline Rush can help make up for it.

For comfort, the increased Constitution will reduce your stamina usage, while Adrenaline will further decrease your stamina consumption when you are below 40% HP.

Recommended Mantle

Mantle Effect
Corrupted MantleCorrupted Mantle Decreases health, but raises affinity and weapon stats. Attack and affinity further increased in certain conditions.
Evasion MantleEvasion Mantle Upon just evading a blow, triggers a special evasive maneuver that boosts attack and alters combos.

The Corrupted Mantle is the best option if you want to fully cap out on your offensive capabilities by increasing damage and affinity. Due to this build's already high damage output, you can quickly reach its conditions and gain 30% affinity, letting the build reach 100% Affinity even if the weapon has none!

Alternatively, you can also equip the Evasion Mantle if you are confident in your dodging skills, as it provides an attack buff whenever you perfectly dodge an enemy attack.

Best Secondary Weapons

• If you are going for the Elemental Build, you can fit in any element since this is an Artian weapon.
• Allows you to cut tails easily during solo hunts.

Build Playstyle and Combos

# Steps
1 Equip the Corrupted Mantle and make a Sneak Attack to remove its debuff and activate its additional modifiers quickly.
2 While the Monster is revving up for a roar, transition into your Rapid Fire Mode and get ready to perfectly dodge through their roar and activate Adrenaline Rush. Depending on the Monster, you can also sneak in a few shots of your Pierce Ammo.
3 Reposition yourself in the mid-range to settle Critical Distance while waiting for your stamina to regenerate and re-activate Maximum Might. Due to your range, you should limit your dodges to keep Maximum Might active at all times. If using the Burst Step setup, dodge often to keep Adrenaline Rush activated.
4 Whenever there is an opening, fire away your Pierce Shots to keep Burst active and cleanse yourself of Frenzy for the additional damage buffs.
5 As the Monster steadily builds up multiple wounds, pop them with Eagle Strike Shot to stagger them. Doing the Focus Shot becomes especially potent when you are hunting Tempered Monsters!

The playstyle for this build is the same as the HR36++ build which is a reactive playstyle that has you staying at mid-range to weave through Monster attacks with an enhanced Evade Window, punishing attacks quickly with a salvo of bullets enhanced by Burst.

When using the mid-range setup, you will have to keep an eye on your Stamina to make sure Maximum Might is active at all times whiile maintaining proper distancing and positioning is important. Using the Burst Step setup, on the other hand, encourages dodging as you have more levels in Evade Window , as well as Evade Extender levels, which makes activating Adrenaline Rush for more attack buffs easier.

Since Artian Light Bowguns have no means to get rapid fire on Pierce as of the moment, you can use the Szelatya Clairgun as the best option for a Raw Pierce build. This LBG can quickly stack up damage due to its fast reload with Opening Shot and high base damage.

For its decorations, slot in a Pierce Jewel to enhance the damage of your Pierce, and then add a Precise Jewel to stabilize the Critical Distance. As a supplementary, you can add a Poison Attack 1 or Precise Jewel 1 for consistency or range.

If you prefer an Elemental set-up, the Animilater built around the five different Elements and all Attack infusions will be the best option due to its high customizability with three 3rd-level decoration slots and increased Ammunition Capacity for their respective Element.

For its decorations, slot in an Opener Jewel to increase your reload speeds and boost your first shots. Afterward, slot in an Elemental and Salvo Jewel to increase the build's overall elemental Damage output.

As a supplementary, the Opener and Elemental Jewel should have one level of Precise as their hybrid skill to stabilize this build's Critical Distance.

Black Eclipse LBG Armor Loadout

Build Explanation and Skill Summary

This endgame High Rank build fully leans on the massive Affinity and Damage boost of Black Eclipse 2 to serve as a foundation on Raw and Elemental builds. Do note that for the Elemental variant, you will still use Pierce to quickly stack up your Rapid Fire Mode while conserving ammunition!

The main difference is that the Raw build has access to Adrenaline Rush and Evade Window to supply the build with an additional +10 Attack; the Elemental build, on the other hand, has Coalescence 3 to maximize on Elemental damage.

Naturally, Black Eclipse opens up the synergy to activate both Coalescence and Antivirus. Whenever you cure yourself of Frenzy, Antivirus allows you to get an additional 25% Affinity while Coalescence further increases your Elemental Damage.

The Maximum Might makes a comeback since the LBG rarely spends its Stamina to deal damage, giving you a flat-out 30% affinity bonus, even without Second Wind 1! If you prefer the Burst Step playstyle, you can replace the Maximum Might with Evade Extender instead!

Since Burst's incremental damage growth for LBG is barely noticeable, having the first rank of Burst is enough to boost the damage due to Pierce and Elemental ammunition having multi-hit properties to stack it up.

Due to this combination of synergies, it is possible to reach 70% affinity to boost the massive damage buff you gain with Antivirus, Agitator, and Maximum Might. Lastly, the build also includes two additional quality-of-life skills that are optional:

  • Constitution - Lessens the stamina use of dashes, allowing you to stay on your toes during the hunt more often.
  • Adrenaline - Reduces your stamina consumption when you are below 40% HP.

This gives you the same level of Agitator, but with more defense and a Level 3 Decoration slot, which you can use to add more skills such as another level of Burst.

2 While the Monster is revving up for a roar, transition into your Rapid Fire Mode and get ready to dodge through their roar perfectly. Depending on the Monster, you can also sneak in a few shots of your equipped Elemental Ammo.
3 Reposition yourself in the mid-range to settle Critical Distance while waiting for your stamina to regenerate and re-activate Maximum Might. Due to your range, you should limit your dodges to keep Maximum Might active at all times.
4 Whenever there is an opening, fire away your Pierce Shots to keep Burst active and cleanse yourself of Frenzy to activate Coalescence and Antivirus. Having Coalescence will greatly increase this build's damage output, so try to fully utilize it and empty your magazine whenever it is active.
5 As the Monster steadily builds up multiple wounds, pop them with Eagle Strike Shot to stagger them. Doing the Focus Shot becomes especially potent when you are hunting Tempered Monsters!
6 As you run out of ammo, quickly access your Radial Menu and press/flick to the assigned button/direction of that Elemental ammo. For the most part, you can keep 20 items of the material used for crafting on the ammo type!

The best playstyle for both the Raw and Elemental variants of the build is the same, wherein both rely on a reactive playstyle that has you stay at mid-range to weave through Monster attacks with an enhanced Evade Window to punish attacks quickly with a salvo of bullets enhanced by Burst and Coalescence.

This reactive playstyle, however, requires you to manage your stamina to keep Maximum Might active at all times by relying on proper positioning and sometimes just walking away from a Monster's attack. Mix this in with perfectly-timed dodges to activate Adrenaline Rush, which should be easy with Evade Window!

The only difference between these two variants' playstyles is that the Elemental build will require more technical skill since you will have to craft your ammunition mid-fight while aiming for specific parts that a Monster is elementally weak to.

Upon enabling Foray, the massive attack and affinity boost when paired with a Agitator and Tetrad Shot-enhanced Pierce bullet will quickly melt a Monster's health!

For its decorations, slot in a Pierce Jewel to add another level to Pierce, and then add a Opener Jewel to have faster reload times. As a supplementary, you can add a Poison Attack 1 or Precise Jewel 1 for consistency or range.

The skill summary above takes note of all the skills if you use the Artian Weapon.

This endgame High Rank build, like its earlier rendition, focuses on inflicting Status Ailments throughout the hunt to consistently enable Foray's +6 Attack boost alongside Agitator's massive +20 Attack. This build is an upgrade to the HR 9-20 LBG build to maximize overall Damage output while still having 70% Affinity.

Black Eclipse opens up the synergy to activate both Coalescence and Antivirus while giving a huge boost to Attack. Whenever you cure yourself of Frenzy, Antivirus allows you to get an additional 25% Affinity while Coalescence further increases your Status build-up.

Maximum Might gives this build a 30% affinity bonus, even without Second Wind 1! If you prefer the Burst Step playstyle, replace the Maximum Might with Evade Extender instead!

Since Burst's incremental damage growth for LBG is barely noticeable, having the first rank of Burst is enough to boost the damage due to Pierce's multi-hit properties to stack it up. Peak Performance is an unneeded but welcome inclusion as it increases damage by +3!

Due to this combination of synergies, it is possible to reach 70% affinity to multiply this build's massive damage further. Lastly, the build also includes three additional quality-of-life skills that are optional:

  • Constitution - Lessens the stamina use of dashes, allowing you to stay on your toes during the hunt more often.
  • Adrenaline - Allows you to take a hit or two when your health reaches a third of your health.
  • Evade Window - Allows small dashes to have more I-frames, increasing your safety and positioning potential.

The Corrupted Mantle is the best option if you want to fully cap out on your offensive capabilities by increasing damage and affinity. • You can interchange between this weapon and the main weapon so that the Status Threshold between Paralysis and Poison will not be egregiously high.
• Has high Raw Damage alongside solid Pierce.
• Slot in Critical Status and Paralyzer to maximize the Paralysis status.

Build Playstyle and Combos

The recommended playstyle for playing and maximizing the Frenzy Foray Status LBG Build is knowing when to apply your Status Effects to apply the most amount of damage possible. For a more detailed guide, follow these tips:

  1. Equip the Corrupted Mantle and make a Sneak Attack to remove its debuff and activate its additional modifiers quickly.
  2. While the Monster is revving up for a roar, transition into your Rapid Fire Mode and get ready to perfectly dodge through their roar.
  3. Utilize your Radial Menu and equip your Poison Ammo. Shoot one instance of this in Rapid Fire and the Monster should get inflicted with Poison, in turn activating Foray. Switch back to Pierce ammo and try to get as much damage while the status is up.
  4. Reposition yourself in the mid-range to settle Critical Distance while waiting for your stamina to regenerate and re-activate Maximum Might. Due to your range, you should limit your dodges to keep Maximum Might active at all times.
  5. When the Poison runs out, quickly re-apply it if there is an opening. Keep firing with your Pierce Shots to keep Burst active and cleanse yourself of Frenzy to activate Coalescence and Antivirus.
  6. When the Monster gets enraged, swap to the Combat Congo to apply Paralysis and keep the Monster in place for maximized damage output. Swap back to Valkyrie Flame afterwards!

This build relies on a set-up playstyle that has you analyze when it would be best to impair Monster's with Status Ailments while having the proper know-how on when to evade attacks to activate Foray's damage boost while keeping Maximum Might primed.

The analytic nature of this build has you reliably set up damage and openings for yourself and fellow Hunters by having the Monster inflicted with Poison and Paralysis. These impairments are applied faster when Coalescence is active, so timing and sequencing is important.

Furthermore, this build will have you transition between two LBGs depending on the opportune moments presented to you, so it is not recommended for beginners! When played optimally, it has higher DPS than the Szelatya Clairgun!

Given that Light Bowgun as a weapon rarely spends its Stamina to deal damage, Maximum Might should remain active at all times, even without Second Wind 1. Furthermore, the build includes two quality-of-life Stamina skills to always keep yourself tapped out:
