Unlock by Acquiring Great Hornfly

Acquire From Plumpeach Material Retrieval

Great Hornfly from Plumpeach

Item Description
Great HornflyGreat Hornfly Found in the Scarlet Forest. An insect with a giant horn, huge shell, and butterfly wings.

Great Hornfly can be acquired from Material Retrieval with Plumpeach, who is unlocked for this function after the quest, Make Fluffy Dealings in Chapter 4.

Material Retrieval allows players to have an NPC automatically gather a set material, allowing for hands-free farming of that material. Rarely, NPCs will also gather rare items, such as the Great Hornfly for Plumpeach.

Acquire Great Hornfly From Musharpeye or Gawdygog

Gawdygog Wudwud Hideout in Scarlet Forest

Great Hornfly can be acquired from Musharpeye and Gawdygog. However, note that trader inventory rotates daily in-game, so try rechecking at a later time or resting first if the item you're looking for doesn't show.

50 Ancient Wyvern Coins or 5 Bulky Treasure for Full Set

Gawdygog Trade Shop

In order to get Great Hornfly, you can either trade Gawdygog 10 Ancient Wyvern Coins which can be found in Area 6 of the Scarlet Forest or trade Musharpeye several items which can be farmed in the Scarlet Forest.

Keep in mind that there is a Trade Limit when exchanging with traders, so you will have to return to Musharpeye or Gawdygog once the stock refreshes to trade for Great Hornflies again.
