Foray grants a boost to Raw Attack and/or Affinity against monsters that are inflicted with Poison or Paralysis. Note that the effect only activates against large monsters, and the Affinity is only granted at Level 2 onwards.
Foray Does Not Reflect on Stats Screen
The bonuses from Foray do not show up on the Stats Screen when opening the menu, meaning that the displayed Attack and Affinity will remain the same.
Monsters Gain Resistance to Ailments
Additionally, monsters will gain resistance to a status when exposed to it repeatedly. This means that over the course of a hunt, the uptime on Foray will decrease due to taking longer to apply Poison or Paralysis.
