Scorcher deals additional Fire damage when attacks hit monsters. The Fire damage itself does not appear to be affected by weapon type or element. Instead, the Fire damage seems to have a fixed base amount that is affected by the hitzone value of the target. This additional Fire damage is affected by skills like Fire Attack.

When used with Zoh Shia weapons, the skill Whiteflame Torrent can activate with Scorcher. Although the description notes the Fire damage increases per level, it appears that the fixed damage also increases with the level of Scorcher used.
