Capture a Sandstar for Samin
| 1 |  Capture a Sandstar for Samin's Research. They are found in the Windward Plains and dash across the sand, have large ears, and are sensitive to noise. |

| 3 |  Return to Samin and hand over the Sandstar. He can be found in the Base Camp in Area 1 of the Windward Plains inside a hut eastern side of the Base Camp. |
How to Capture a Sandstar
Sandstar can be found in Area 13 of the Windward Plains. The Sandstar will only appear during night. Make sure to go to the area as soon as night falls to maximize your time to search.
Because they are sensitive to sound they can flee really easily, use a Screamer Pod to Stun it then use the Capture Net to catch the Sandstar.

Complete Dareel's Research Report
Speak to Samin in the Windward Plains Base Camp after completing the Dareel's Special Research Report. You will also need to complete the Wyvern Sparks and Rose Thorns Mission in Chapter 4.
