Capture a Goliath Squid
Monster (Squid) Hunter can be obtained by capturing a Goliath Squid. This endemic life can be found at Area 17 of Scarlet Forest.
Change the Weather to Plenty or Downpour
Make sure that the weather is set to Plenty or Downpour and hunt the Goliath Squid at night since it is a nocturnal endemic life.
If you have a Pop-Up Camp in the area, you can rest in it and pay 500 Guild Points to change the weather!
Use Fishing Rod and Tentacle Jig Bait
After spotting the Goliath Squid, equip Tentacle Jig as bait. You may also catch it with the Tuff Joint bait as it is considered a Whopper.
If the Goliath Squid isn't biting, try Luring the squid by bobbing the lure up and down.
