Use the Slinger to Trigger the Flashflies
One way to trigger the Flashflies blinding flash is by using the Slinger. Aim towards the Flashflies and use the Slinger to blind enemies near it.

Interacting with Flashflies will cause it to release a bright flash around its area. This flash will blind anyone in its vicinity.
