Protective Polish Skill
Weapon sharpness does not decrease for a set time after sharpening.
Level Effect
1 Grants no sharpness loss for 30 seconds after activation.
2 Grants no sharpness loss for 60 seconds after activation.
3 Grants no sharpness loss for 90 seconds after activation.

Prevents Sharpness Loss for the Duration

Protective Polish prevents all sharpness loss when landing hits as long as the skill is active. This skill works well with Speed Sharpening to significantly speed up activation.

Alternative Weapon Sharpness Skills

If you find sharpening in the middle of combat cumbersome, consider Razor Sharp with Handicraft for sharpness management instead.

If you have at least 73% Affinity, Master's Touch is the optimal choice.

Protective Polish does not affect or interact with the special sharpness granted by Bladescale Honing. This special sharpness provides a fixed sharpness bar, with the number of hits required to deplete it depending on the weapon.
