This is a guide to the activities you'll need to focus in the endgame of Monster Hunter Wilds. Read on to learn how to reach the endgame content, what activities to do during the endgame, and how to prepare for the game's upcoming title updates.
When Does Endgame Start
Complete Chapter 6 and Defeat Arkveld
There's a lot of endgame content that's locked behind high Hunter Rank levels. Your main priority is to finish the main story, specifically finishing Chapter 6, What Lies Ahead where you have to hunt Arkveld.

Create a Build for Each Weapon Type
One of the best activities you can start with in the endgame is to start completing builds for every weapon or at least, for the weapons of your choosing.
Each Weapon also has their own skills attached to them, so making multiple builds for each skill type would allow you to easily switch up when new content drops from the game's Title Updates!

Builds and Best Armor for Each Weapon
Proceed With Artian Weapon Creation
Unlike regular weapons, Artian Weapons are weapons that you can upgrade and customize. They're the ideal endgame weapons as they can be upgraded to much stronger versions of existing weapons.
To craft these weapons, you'll need to start hunting Tempered Monsters, which are empowered versions of regular monsters.
Farm Artian Materials Through Investigations
One of the best ways to ramp up your Artian Material farming is to do Investigations and Great Hunts with two Tempered monsters as their targets. This allows you to net huge amounts of Artian materials.
To unlock dual Tempered Monster quests, you'll have to complete the quests listed below.

Best Ways to Farm Rarity 8 Artian Parts
Farm and Collect Decorations
Your next immediate goal would be to obtain Decorations, especially ones that you can use on your chosen weapons, or Decorations that can fit in multiple builds.
You can Meld Decorations to craft a desired jewel, but slot 3 Decorations can only be obtained through appraisal. It's imperative to hunt and get as much Decorations as possible from rewards.
Reach HR 100 To Craft Level 2 Decorations
Once you reach HR 100, you'll be able to begin with crafting Level 2 Decorations which can make building your set much easier.
The Level 2 Decorations you unlock this way will mostly be an enhanced version of the same Level 1 Decoration which can open up your build flexibility.
Level 3 Decorations May Have Multiple Skills
Level 3 Decorations can also possibly contain two skills instead of one. Obtaining these Decorations with the right skill combinations will prove difficult, but will be extremely valuable if obtained in the long run.

Hunt Arch-Tempered Monsters
On July 22, 2025 (ET), Arch-Tempered monster event quests became permanently available! These monsters are stronger than their Tempered variants, and also have some differences or additions to their usual movesets. Farm for gamma equipment or just test yourself with these stronger fights.
Hunt 9-Star Monsters
Introduced in Version 1.021, 9-star monsters present a new level of difficulty into the game. Compared to 8-star monsters, they're tankier, stronger, and always Tempered. Once you reach HR100 and above, these endgame monsters can start spawning in every locale. If you've been wanting more challenging hunts, seek out these 9-star difficulty monsters!
Grind for Appraised Talismans
Appraised Talismans are appraised from Glowing Stones, which are obtained upon completing a 9-star quwsts.
These Talismans are assigned random rarities, skills, and decoration slots upon appraisal. Farming for these may land you one with a set of good skills that fits your builds. If you've gotten too many unusuable ones, you can also meld them down for a chance to get better Talismans!
Collect Trophies and Achievements
You can aim for completing Medals or Trophies which can also be viewed in your Hunter Profile.
While these do not provide any gameplay advantages, these achievements are perfect endgame activities to do, especially for game completionists.

Create a New Save
If you feel like you've played a lot on your main save and want something different, you can try creating a new save and start the adventure all over again! You can design a fresh new character or take inspiration from the many design codes shared online.
Prepare for Upcoming Title Updates
Title Updates, and even the updates in-between them, bring a lot of new endgame content, such as new monsters, seasonal events, event quests, game features, and more. Grind for better builds and prepare for whatever's coming next!
