How to Get Soul of the Pictomancer
Complete Extra Mission 4: Beacon of Invasion (HR41+)
The Soul of the Pictomancer is obtained after you complete Extra Mission 4: Beacon of Invasion as part of the Final Fantasy XIV Collaboration. This quest can be started at HR41+ by talking to Rove in the Iceshard Cliffs when the quest prompt becomes available.
How to Use Soul of the Pictomancer
Use Motifs in a Sequence

| 1 |  Equip the Soul of the Pictomancer to your pouch at an Item Box. The Soul of the Pictomancer will be a Key Item under the Traps/Offense category. |
| 2 |  Navigate to the Soul of the Pictomancer via the Radial Menu or through your Item Bar. The item can also be set as a hotbar shortcut on PC (default F1, F2, etc.). ⓘ When customizing the Radial Menu, the Motif button (particularly Pom Motif) of the Soul of the Pictomancer can be found under Essential Items. You only need to equip this Motif to access the rest of the pictomancy. |
| 3 | Activate the motif of the Soul of the Pictomancer. Using a motif cycles it to the next form, so you will have to activate the item repeatedly to get through all of the motifs. ⓘ Note that each motif will have have a 30 cooldown timer outside of the Training Area. Soul of the Pictomancer Item Cycle: ① Pom Motif (AoE) → ② Wing Motif (AoE) → ③ Mog of the Ages (Laser) → Return to ① |
Motifs casted by the Soul of the Pictomancer deal damage against enemies in an area (circular area for Pom Motif and Wing Motif, while a laser for Mog of the Ages). It can be aimed by using Focus Mode. You can use this to position the laser better from the Mog of the Ages motif.
