Farm Great Hunt Investigations by resetting the day in Monster Hunter Wilds. Learn more about Great Hunt Investigations in this guide, including how to farm Great Hunt Investigations efficiently.

To start, open the map to see all the available monsters. If none are present in the current locale, travel to another area and check again.

If you find an available target, create a quest from it. You can do this on the same screen by selecting the monster and choosing Create Quest.
After that, you can invite hunters to join you if you want to do the quest in multiplayer!

Rewards from Great Hunt Investigation quests vary depending on the monsters involved. If you're farming for specific items, take note of the monsters listed above and reroll accordingly.

If there are no available Great Hunt Investigation quests, fast travel to the base camp and rest. This is the only way to reset spawns, as the game automatically saves when you rest and change the time, preventing rerolls by returning to the main screen without saving.

Some boss monsters only appear in certain weather conditions. If you want to hunt these specific monsters, make sure to change the weather before fully resting.

Keep in mind that changing the weather costs 500 Guild Points per change, so make sure you have enough if you plan to keep resetting.
If you're running low, you can farm in the Scarlet Forest, specifically in Area 8 Underground Lake. Catch all the Platinumfish and Goldenfish you find inside to rack up some Guild Points.

Great Hunt Investigations become available in the final chapter of the game, Chapter 6. You don't need to complete the chapter, but you must at least finish 6-1 to unlock these quests.
Walkthrough and List of Main Story Chapters
In addition to starting Chapter 6, you must complete all the side missions listed above. Doing so unlocks Great Hunt Investigations for each locale.
Interactive Map and List of Locations

Set up a pop-up camp in Area 8 of Scarlet Forest in case you run out of Guild Points from resetting. This area is great for farming both Guild Points and Zenny, as it spawns endemic life that rewards you handsomely.
How to Catch Endemic Life Creatures

Optional, but you can also start side missions that require gathering materials. This lets you take advantage of the mission being active if it requires specific materials, allowing you to farm and complete missions simultaneously.
List of Side Missions (Side Quests)

Great Hunt Investigations are quests you can create to fight two rare monsters in one go. These monsters are usually Tempered, providing rare rewards such as Artian Materials, like Broken Blade, Rusted Device, Cracked Disc, or Crushed Tube.
Other rewards include Decorations, Hunter Symbol, and rare materials.
Tempered Monsters Guide

Tempered Arkveld is one of the most sought-after monsters in Great Hunt Investigations. It is recommended to look for one alongside another monster when rerolling to get powerful materials for forging weapons and armor.
These are highly recommended in High Rank builds since they require rarer equipment.
