The Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase came out last February 4, 2025. This showcase included a new trailer and more info about Open Beta Test 2.

Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase Contents
New Trailer Showing New Biome and Monsters
The Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase showed a new trailer for the game which confirms the new biome, the Iceshard Cliffs. This new biome houses the new monster, Hirabami, as well as two returning monsters, Nerscylla and Gore Magala!
The trailer also showed an unannounced monster, we speculate that this is the apex monster of the Iceshard Cliffs or an environmental feature in the biome.
Open Beta 2 Details

New features will be introduced in the second Open Beta Test, this includes a new Special Advanced Quest for Arkveld, a training area, and more!
Arkveld and Gypceros Hunt
Arkveld and Gypceros will be available to hunt in the second Open Beta Test.
Along with other monsters available during the first Open Beta Test, Gypceros will be available as a regular assignment. Arkveld on the other hand, will be on a special Advanced Quest, this is a dangerous mission reserved only for skilled hunters.
Training Area
The training area will be available in the base camp during the second Open Beta Test. The training area will allow players to practice weapon combos, as well as new mechanics like Offset attacks against a training dummy.
Multiplayer Features
The second Open Beta Test will also feature Private Lobbies where friends can join together without randoms joining in. Online Single Player is also available, allowing players to experience the game alone. Do note that using SoS Flares while in Online Single Player will initiate a temporary multiplayer mode.
Players can now hunt with other players from different platforms, as Cross-Platform multiplayer will also be available in the second Open Beta Test.
Character Data Transfer
Participants of the first Open Beta Test will be able to transfer their Character Data to the second Open Beta Test. Keep in mind that game progression will not be transferred!
Previous Open Beta Contents
The second Open Beta will still contain the contents of the first Open Beta, this includes the Character Creation, Story Trial, and Doshaguma Hunt.
Like the first Open Beta, players who participate in the second Open Beta will recieve the Stuffed Felyne Teddy Pendant for their Weapon or Seikret, as well as an Item Pack in the official release. The Item Pack includes the items listed below:
- Raw Meat x10
- Shock Trap x3
- Pitfall Trap x3
- Tranq Bomb x10
- Large Barrel Bomb x3
- Armor Sphere x5
- Flash Pod x10
- Large Dung Pod x10
