This whopper can be seen in any weather anytime. However, they seem to constantly spawn on the right and left edges of the Lake in Area 17, with the weather set to Plenty and the Time set to Morning. They seem to have a strong interest in Duster Rigs.

Gajau can be found in Area 12, 13, and 17 of the Scarlet Forest.

How to Catch Gajau

Use the Fishing Rod

Since the Gajau is considered as a whopper, you will not be able to catch it by using the Capture Net. The only way to catch this enormous fish is by using your Fishing Rod!

Added Difficulty When Catching a Whopper

Whoppers are more challenging to catch compared to catching a regular fish. You have to tire it out before reeling it in, all the while trying your best to not let it snap your fishing line. Pulling against the direction of the fish too much will snap your line and you will lose the fish.

Description
Large fish with flat heads, broad mouths, and long whiskers. They are known to grow to a considerable size- some as large as a human. While an Eastland Gajau is wary and will flee from a percieved threat, there have been documented Gajau attacks in other parts of the world. Researchers link such differences in behavior to habitat. Gajau show a strong interest in Duster Rigs.
