How to Inflict Wounds

Keep Attacking the Same Part

Keep Attacking the Same Part, mdoe:show

In order to inflict a wound, you first have to attack the specific part of the body that you want to wound. Doing so will show scars or scratches that signal which part is Wounded.

Try to aim for that part aggressively every time you have an opening since inflicting wounds takes more than just one hit.

Destroy the Wound to Knock It Down

After inflicting a wound, you can keep targeting that part to deal more damage and eventually knock it down. This will give you a huge opening for you to deal the most damage you can before it recovers and allow you to obtain monster materials in the process!

Using Focus mode will highlight their wounds in red, making it all the more visible and easier to aim for.

Effects of Wounding

Deal More Damage

The main effect of wounds is to deal more damage whenever you attack a specific part. Actively inflicting wounds will make your hunts faster especially if you have multiple wounds inflicted.

Can Stun in Focus Mode

Activating Focus mode will allow you to perform a Focused Strike that when it hits a wound or weak spot, will stun and deal huge damage.
