This is a guide for Gravios Blockade, a High Rank Event Quest appearing in Monster Hunter Wilds. Learn about Gravios Blockade's availability, a build to farm ingredients, unlock conditions, target Monsters, and rewards for completing the quest here.
The Gravios Blockade quest is a great choice for farming ingredients. It's relatively quick to defeat Gravios with Water Heavy Bowguns without the risk of it running away as it's immediately available in the Wounded Hollow arena. Done right, each solo run only takes a little over a minute, possibly faster with 4 hunters.

For the build, we recommend equipping the 4-piece set of the actively running Festival armor. For example, hunters should wear the Ceremonial Armor during Lumenhymn. The bowgun can be a Water Artian weapon with 2 capacity reinforcements or the Dalgap-of-the-Waves. Aim to slot in as many offensive skills as you can with decorations. Here are some skills to get: Burst 1, Water Attack 3, Tetrad Shot 3, Critical Element 3, and Maximum Might 3.

Before starting, ensure that Flash Pods are equipped and that you're buffed with attack-boosting items such as Mega Demondrug and Might Seeds. You can take these in the base to save time during the quest.
Upon starting the quest, you can immediately fire 12-13 shots of Water Ammo to Gravios's belly. Gravios will typically roar after firing 4 shots, so prepare to guard against this.
After its belly is broken, it will shift to an attacking stance. Use the Flash Pod around this time. Keep firing Water Ammo at the belly until the effect is about to wear off and then use another flash pod. You'll ideally only need to use two flash pods per run.
Near the end of the run, fire two Tranq Ammo and then place a shock trap to capture Gravios. If it still hasn't been captured, keep shooting at Gravios until its HP is low enough. If the Gravios hasn't been captured at this point, use a Flash Pod and another trap to try again.

Gravios Blockade is a limited-time event quest that originally ran from April 22 until May 6, 2025 (ET). It may rerun during seasonal Festival of Accord events.
