Food Skills are obtained by eating meals. The ingredients that you use to make your meals contain the food skills. Food skills last for a total of 70 minutes with additional ingredients, so always try to cook and eat a meal before hunting monsters to get useful buffs!
To make meals and get Food Skills, just go to your tent, select BBQ Menu, and choose either of the options.
Adding an Additional Ingredient will extend the food buff's duration by 20 minutes and add the ingredient's corresponding food skill. A random food skill will also be added.

Adding Finishing Touches to a meal will grant +5 Element Resistances as well as the ingredient's corresponding food skill. A random food skill will also be added.

Meal invitations from different villages will offer different food skills. They all last for 90 minutes and provide +50 Health and +150 Stamina as well as two random food skills on top of the three skills listed below.
