Focus is a Weapon Skill in Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) that increases the fill rate and charge rate of weapons with gauges and charge attacks respectively. See the effects of Focus and a list of weapons with the Focus skill in this guide.

Skill Effects Per Level

Focus Skill
Increases the fill rate for weapons with gauges and the charge rate for weapons with charge attacks.
Level Effect
1 Slightly increases gauge fill rate and reduces charge times by 5%.
2 Moderately increases gauge fill rate and reduces charge times by 10%.
3 Increases gauge fill rate and reduces charge times by 15%.

Focus will speed up how quickly weapon gauges fill, and also make weapons with charge attacks charge quicker based on its level.

Focus Video Demonstration

Focus increases the charge/fill rate of certain attacks and gauges respectively. In the example above, a Great Sword charging an attack with Focus 3 completes it quicker than without.

Hammer Speeds up the charging time when charging, making attacks out of charge faster to come off.
Gunlance Speeds up the charging time for Charged Shells, increases its fill rate when attacking with the weapon, and increases the recovery rate of Wyvern's Fire Gauge
Switch Axe Increases reload fill rate and Switch Gauge's passive recovery. Also increases Amp Gauge fill rate
Bowguns Increases gauge recovery fill rate for both Light and Heavy bowguns
Bow Increases Charged Shot charge speed and Trick Arrow Gauge fill rate

Focus works with several weapons that utilize charged attacks, such as Great Sword, gauges, such as Dual Blades, or both, such as the Bow.

Focus increases the speed of charged shells, making it easier to refill Wyvern's Fire charges. It also increases Wyvern Gauge fill rate, needing fewer hits to fill it up. The natural recovery of Wyvern's Fire Gauge is also sped up by Focus.

Focus increases the amount that reload gains. It also increases the automatic recovery of Switch Gauge when the weapon is sheathed, and increases Amp Gauge fill when performing attacks while on Sword mode.
