Restart Steam
A quick fix would be restarting Steam entirely. Simply pressing X at the upper right corner won't be enough, but rather you have to End Task of Steam in the Task Manager!
Note that you might have to do this multiple times before you can launch the game.
Restart PC
Another fix would be restarting your PC entirely. Players have been turning their devices on and off until the game can run smoothly.
Close or Update Anti-Virus Apps
Some Anti-Virus programs might be conflicting with Wilds, thus a possible solution would be closing or updating them. The Anti-Cheat App, Vanguard, is an example for this so be sure to close it in your Task Manager.
Add Specific Folders to Your Anti-virus' Exception List
According to Capcom, adding Steam.exe and the game's folder and files to your anti-virus program’s exception / exclusion list could help. Below are the folder paths for both the game and Steam.exe!
