Head to the Oasis
| 1 |  Once you're settled in, talk to Alma when you're ready to leave. Follow Alma further into the Scarlet Forest. The group will discover that there is a pack of Doshaguma that could threaten the safety of Kunafa Village, and will head to the next village to warn them. |

| 2 |  The party will warn the villagers, but they will need Zatoh's help to convince the elder of the impending threat. Follow Alma to the oasis where Zatoh is. |
| 3 |  Upon locating Zatoh, the team discovers that he's currently dealing with Balaharas. Help Zatoh repel the Balahara while riding your Seikret. |
| 4 |  After a short chase sequence, the party as well as the balahara will fall into a quicksand. Defeat the Balahara to complete the Balahara of the Sandsea quest. ▶ Monster Hunt: Balahara |
Defend Kunafa Village
| 1 |  After defeating the Balahara, the group returns to the village to convince the Elder. After some persuasion from Zatoh, the elder agrees to take everyone to the shelter. |

| 2 |  As the villagers flee, the hunter finds Nata hiding from the Doshaguma. Free the livestock to lure the Doshaguma pack away from the village and follow them. |
| 3 |  While following the pack, use the giant falling boulder to deal damage to the pack. Follow the pack until you come to a clearing. |
| 4 |  Upon reaching the area, the group discovers the Alpha Doshaguma attacking some Dalthydons. Alma suspects that if the Alpha Doshuma is defeated, the pack will disperse. Attack the Alpha Doshaguma to get its attention. |
| 5 |  The Alpha Doshaguma will start following the player after taking enough damage. Lure the Alpha and the pack into the sandstorm to get rid of them. However, the Alpha proves too strong and the Hunter must defeat the Alpha Doshaguma to disperse the pack and complete the Pinnacle of the Pack quest. ▶︎ Monster Hunt: Doshaguma |
Return to Kunafa Village
| 1 |  The defeat of the Doshaguma marks the end of sandtide, and the season of plenty begins. Follow Alma back to the village of Kunafa. |

| 2 |  The village is saved and the party receives additional Seikrets. The party decides to go to the base camp on the plains next to give the seikrets to Erik and Olivia, which also marks the end of this chapter. |

 Most of Balahara's attacks are frontal attacks.Most of it's attacks can be avoided by dodging to the side. Avoid Balahara's Mud Spit attacks, as they inflict Waterblight.If you're hit, use a nulberry or evade repeatedly to remove the effect.Use Screamer Pods when the Balahara is submerged to force it to resurface. |

|
There are many environmental hazards in the area, such as vine traps, falling boulders, and paratoads. Use them to your advantage.Doshaguma's attacks become especially dangerous when he is enraged. Be sure to dodge its attacks, and do not engage it when your health is less than half, as it can deal a large amount of damage in a single attack. Doshaguma would change areas frequently during this encounter. Use this to your advantage and use sneak attacks to re-engage in new areas. |

After beating Congalala in the Scarlet Forest and leaving in The Investigation Continues, you will return to your Base Camp in the Windward Plains. Arriving at the base camp will unlock A Hunter's Pride.
