Buffs Explained Which Buffs Stack
Buffs are status effects that can benefit the player for a duration in Monster Hunter Wilds. Read on to learn more about each item and weapon buffs, their duration, and which ones stack over each other here!

Recommended Item Buffs

List of Items Buffs to Bring for Hunts
ArmorskinArmorskin Hardshell PowderHardshell Powder Adamant PillAdamant Pill
Adamant SeedAdamant Seed ImmunizerImmunizer

We recommend bringing the Armorskin, Adamant Pill, and Hardshell Powder as these are the only buff items that you can craft in the Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta. The Immunizer is useful as well since this can help you craft more Adamant Pills and is a great way for recovering red health faster.

Which Buffs Stack?

Majority of Buffs Can Stack

Armorskin, Adamant Pill, and Hardshell Powder can all stack their armor boosts with each other. Using the same item repeatedly will not stack the buff itself as doing so will only reset the duration of the buff.

Additionally, this works the same for damage buff items such as Demondrug, Might Pill, and Demon Powder.

How to Craft Items

Items, Weapons, and Skill Buffs Can Stack

Although most of your buffs will consist of damage and armor, Weapon buffs can stack with your Item buffs on top of any of the buffs you get from Skills so make sure to use these together to maximize your stats.

Armor and Demon Seeds and Pills Do Not Stack

Items such as the Adamant Pills and Adamant Seeds won't be able to stack with each other (same for the demon variation for attack). Taking both a seed and pill will prioritize the bigger boost but will not add their effects together. The buff duration is still determined by the item. This means taking a seed and a pill will give a bigger boost for a short time but will eventually use the smaller boost for a longer time rather than extending the pill effect.

Armorskin and Demondrug Don't Stack With its Mega Counterpart

Similar to the Seed and Pill stacking mechanic, the Demondrug and Armorskin item buffs won't stack with their Mega counterparts and will only prioritize the bigger boost.

The seeds and pills do stack. I've tested this and it definitely give the buffs but the pills do not have an icon on the buff bar.
