The Layered Weapons function will be added in Version 1.020, allowing players to change the appearance of their weapon without affecting its stats!

Both Lagiacrus and Seregios are being added in Version 1.020, with both their regular forms and Tempered versions available to fight.

Later on in the patch, Arch-Tempered Uth Duna will also become available in a limited-time quest, similar to Arch-Tempered Rey Dau's initial release.

Several new pieces of equipment and skills will be released in Version 1.020, tied to the armor you can craft using materials from the newly-added monsters.

The weapons have received several updates to their damage and functionality, with the Hammer now able to chain attacks after an offset attack.
The Dual Blades, Long Sword, Hunting Horn, Lance, Switch Axe, Charge Blade, and Heavy Bowgun have all received buffs, while the Sword & Shield has been adjusted. The Gunlance, Light Bowgun, and Bow have received bugfixes.

Several new cosmetics, including new poses, gestures, pendants, and other customization options will be added. Some items will be Paid DLC only, while others are tied to in-game events and progression.

The new Festival of Accord is set to begin in Version 1.020. Flamefete will have similar effects on the Grand Hub like the previous Blossomdance event. There will also be accompanying quests and rewards.

The Version 1.020 update will also include a new collaboration with Fender, granting players a Monster-Hunter Themed Guitar in game, with its accompanying gesture.

Player Characters have received several minor adjustments and bug fixes, while Support Hunters have received minor buffs. The Seikret and Palico have also received minor bug fixes and tweaks.
