How to Unlock Proof of a Hero
Complete Freedom From Solitude and 3 Special Environment Quests
Unlocking Proof of a Hero requires the completion of the 10-star quest called Freedom from Solitude. This is a permanent event quest that features Arch-Tempered Arkveld as the target monster to hunt.
Complete 9-Star Triple Hunt Quests
Another requirement for unlocking Proof of a Hero involves the completion of three 9-star Special Environment Quests (triple hunt Optional Quests), all available at HR 100, namely:
Once all conditions have been met, which is beating AT Arkveld and completing the listed Special Environment Quests, make sure to speak to Alma (your Handler) to get Proof of a Hero to appear on the Optional Quest list.
Multiplayer Joins Must Meet Requirements
Hunters must meet also the completion of defeating AT Arkveld and the mentioned triple hunts to join Proof of a Hero hunts online.
Note that joining the quest midway (through online/SOS) can prevent you from getting the Nameplate (you will get an in-game notification about it) like the rest of the Special Environment Quests. It is best to join the lobby before the start of the hunt to ensure securing the Nameplate if you haven't obtained it.
HR 100 and Above
The Optional Quest Proof of a Hero can only accessed by hunters that are HR 100 and above. This is the rank also where the monster Gogmazios, along with its related extra mission Ghosts Pay No Heed To Tomorrow, becomes accessible.

This quest will task you to slay 4 Arch-Tempered Monsters in the Wounded Hollow. We recommend maximizing the dual weapons feature in Wilds to cover each monster's weaknesses.
It is best that you use Gogma Artian Weapons to maximize your raw, affinity, and elemental damage for each monster, and to ensure you can complete the quest under 50 minutes. The following elements are recommended for each monster.
- Ice - AT Rey Dau
- Thunder - AT Uth Duna
- Water - AT Nu Udra
- Dragon - AT Arkveld
Alternatively, Paralysis is also a good element to use if you are opting on inflicting Abnormal Status.

On top of a lot of Zenny, 5000 Guild Points, and Gamma Certificates when completing Proof of a Hero, you will be rewarded a unique Nameplate similar to the other Nameplates awarded in the Special Environment Quests.
You can also claim a Pendant from Alma after the successful completion of this quest. Make sure to talk to her to receive it!
Timeworn Charms and Battle-tempered Emblems
Above image is a sample of the rewards using a Lucky Voucher.
Having 10 Star monsters, this quest will also reward Timeworn Charms and Battle-tempered Emblems.
Timeworn Charms will be appraised with a high rate of Rarity 7 and Rarity 8 talismans, while Battle-tempered Emblems can be used for reinforcing Gogma Artian weapons, smelting Ores and Armor Spheres, or melding relics and decorations.
