Best Skills Explanation
Agitator
★★★		 Makes sure you are dealing maximum damage while also having enough affinity
Burst
★★★		 Activate this skill with ease, thanks to the Switch Axe's continuous combos. This will help further improve the weapon's already-impressive DPS.
Counterstrike
★★★		 Activates whenever you do the sword mode hyperarmor move for virtually free damage for 45 seconds maximum.
Weakness Exploit
★★★		 A great skill to use when targeting wounds in MHWilds. Weaknesses are also pretty common for monsters, so it's quite easy to trigger this skill.
Maximum Might
★★		 A great source of additional affinity whenever your stamina is full. Really easy to maintain with the Switch Axe and can even be made easier if paired with Second Wind.
Critical Boost
★★		 Increases the damage multiplier of your critical hits, so you deal generally higher DPS!
Resentment
★★		 An optional damage skill for whenever you have red health from hyperarmor and offset attacks. Useful but can be a bit situational.
Critical Eye
★		 Increases the general Affinity of your weapon to make it easier for you to deal critical hits. Does not give that high of a bonus in MHWilds though, so consider other skills than this.

Best Comfort Skills

These are skills that make managing weapon mechanics a lot easier. Damage is only part of the equation - taking time to slot in comfort skills that increase consistency & comfort will also increase overall DPS!

Power Prolonger
★★★		 The best skill for the Switch Axe and should be maintained for all your builds. Prolongs your amped mode so you can essentially dish out multiple Full Release Slashes before Amped Mode expires.
Evade Extender
★★★		 More distance covered per dodge means you can easily get out of harms way or move to a better position faster to hit enemy weakspots.
Protective Polish
★★★		 Switch Axe combos depletes sharpness fast. Always consider maxing this skill out to keep your sharpness high!
Rapid Morph
★★		 Great to have as it speeds up the switching animation of your attacks. Greatly increases comfort in general and can even mean life and death in some situations.
Speed Sharpening
★★		 Reduces a cycle for sharpening with each level. Synergizes well with the Protective Polish skill.
Focus
★		 Having Focus decreases the charging time until you reach your Amped Mode, so you can deal Phial damage quicker! It is not very good in MHWilds though, so it should be prioritized less.
Evade Window
★		 Longer invincibility frames greatly improves the Switch Axe's survivability but with the counterattacks and offsets in Wilds, it may not be as effective as back then. The optimal level for this skill is 3, so only slot it in whenever you have the chance!
Handicraft
★		 Increases sharpness. Slot this skill in only when necessary!
