Use Hunting Horn Perform Input

Now that you have Hunting Horn songs prepared on your meter, you will need to start playing them. Press the corresponding button for Perform to play a Song.

Perform can be done from neutral (standing/moving) position, after a combo, or a move such as Echo Bubble. The choice is yours when to best use it so as long as you have prepared songs beforehand!

The default Perform will always play the first song prepared on the meter. But you can add other button modifiers to select your 2nd or 3rd song instead of the 1st. This is helpful if you want to use a specific Song right away that is queued at a different spot of the list.

Song Sequence and Amplifying Effects

You can check the song you are currently playing and the next song on the list by inspecting the Performance Bar (or you can just call it a Set List) under the Sharpness Gauge. This bar appears only during a performance.

Songs are that are performed will appear with a yellow glow while those used with Encore will appear with a purple glow. If you have any unplayed songs in the list after an Encore, they can be used again in another performance later.

The effects of played songs may be strengthened by performing them twice or using Encore when they are played. Of the two, Encore is the fastest option and will also amplify all songs performed on the meter.

XBOX - Right Trigger

Use this if you want to perform only one song (or the last song) for one more performance with increased buffs.

Using Perform will play all songs on the meter. To strengthen the damage from the swing of your Perform, you use Performance Beat and input it on the next song's start.

On the other hand, if you have a whole set of songs lined up but only want to perform 1 song, you can use Encore during the performance to end the song list early. Note that using an early Encore will require a different input noted in the above table. The rest of your song list will be preserved this way.

Note that you can also perfect input Encore for extra damage. Just make sure to time it similarly to a song start like you would with Performance Beat.

Performance Beat Perfect Timing

Above is our video on Perfect Input timing. Unmute the video to listen to the beat of the metronome!

The perfect input timing of Performance Beat is at the start of a song. The first song is always the hardest to perfect due to it starting a bit on off-timing, but the rest should be easy to follow.

Input timing for Performance Beat seemed to follow a tempo of 90 BPM immediately at the start of the first song. Perfect timing is at the start of every bar (the 1st beat after the 4th). If following the metronome is hard, try memorizing based on the sound of the horn itself.
