Horn Maestro is a Weapon Skill that makes Melodies more effective in Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds). Learn the effects of Horn Maestro, how it affects Melodies and Echo Bubbles, and see a list of weapons with the Horn Maestro skill.

Horn Maestro Skill
Increases the effect duration of hunting horn melodies. (Effect lost when you change weapons)
Level Effect
1 Extends Melody Effect duration and increases the chance of larger heals from healing melodies.
2 Greatly increases the effect duration of hunting horn melodies.

Horn Maestro is a useful skill exclusive for the Hunting Horn that increases the duration of your melodies per level, increases the duration and size of your Echo Bubbles, and also increases the flat health gained from Health Recovery (such as Health Recovery (S)).

Note that the Horn Maestro's benefits to health recovery did not affect Recovery Speed and Melody of Life.

Above duration times were observed for melodies at stage 2 (purple effect). These times do not include yet the effect of the All Melodies Extended song which adds 20 seconds every use.

Based on testing some Hunting Horn melodies, we observed that melody effect extension times varied, Horn Maestro giving between 1-3 minutes more. This is a very useful skill for Self-Improvement which you'll want active at all times since it increases your movement speed and attack bonus.

Horn Maestro - Echo Bubble Size Comparison
The size of the Echo Bubble has been observed to be mostly unchanged if not little for Horn Maestro 1. It is, however, noticeably larger at Horn Maestro 2.

Horn Maestro adds an additional 30 seconds more to the duration of Echo Bubbles per level and greatly increases the bubble's radius at Lv. 2.

Increases Health Recovered from Melodies

Above tests are done with Health Recovery (S) using the Queen Chordmaker.

Horn Maestro also increases the health recovered from Health Recovery-related songs at each level, with Horn Maestro 2 giving the highest (has boosted recovery also at Encore). Note that this does not affect Recovery Speed and Melody of Life, only those songs that give flat health recovery such as Health Recovery (S).

Something to note that's not listed here, is Horn Maestro has been confirmed to increase both size AND duration of echo bubbles. ~+30s ea point, so 90s total at level 2 which makes managing bubbles cooldown way easier. At level two the size is roughly 2x as large as an non-HM bubble. This skill is pretty mandatory for horns (un)fortunately.
