How to Cook Meals

Cooking in a Camp

Monster Hunter Wilds - Cooking in Camp

Entering your tent, be it in the Base Camp or in a Pop-up Camp allows you to Grill a Meal and Rest to set the weather and time settings if you've unlocked High Rank already..

Cooking with a Portable BBQ Grill

Monster Hunter Wilds - Portable BBQ Grill

Alternatively, you can also cook a meal using the Portable BBQ Grill. While exploring, look for a safe spot where monsters won't attack you. Afterward, deploy your Portable BBQ Grill, and prepare your meal as if you were preparing in a tent.

Meal Invitations

Visiting other locales while progressing through the main story will trigger Meal Invitations. You can only accept the invitation, so simply talk to the designated NPC, and a cutscene of everyone sitting down and eating will play.

This is a special type of meal due to the buffs being better and lasting longer than meals cooked via BBQ Grilling and eating at the base or Pop-Up Camps.
