Vaulting Dance, the Insect Glaive's continuous aerial combo, will be back in Monster Hunter Wilds on release. Aerial attack power increases by two levels every time you vault, while an offset effect has been added on your first hit of Descending Slash.
Red, White, and Orange extract now also mitigates wind pressure, tremors, and roar with an addition of the Orange extract giving knockback negation while the weapon is drawn.
The Lance's attack options have been improved, making combos more fluid and enhancing their guard and movement capabilities.
Additional changes involve enabling the ability to guard while charging and the option to transition into any move when executing Charge Counter. Perfect Guard and Power Guard can now transition into a new attack.
Furthermore, Power Guard charges to higher levels at a faster rate when effectively guarding stronger monster attacks.
With the inclusion of the Full Release Slash that can now prevent knockbacks, the Switch Axe became stronger in comparison to the open beta version. This made switching to Sword Mode after accumulating the Axe Mode gauge feel more fulfilling.
For the Sword and Shield, several attacks were enhanced. These include the responsiveness of the mobile Chop and Side Slash combo, enabling the use of Rising Slash while guarding, increasing the evasion efficiency Backstep and Sliding Swipe, and enhancing the parameters for both Perfect Rush and regular attacks.
While the potency of Tracer Shots was reduced, the Bow was rebalanced to boost the attack power and responsiveness of Arc Shots and regular attacks.
The melodic effects of the Hunting Horn were reduced and the lingering effects while switching to a different weapon from the Hunting Horn will not be as strong as they are when the weapon is in use.
Destroying multiple wounds at once is no longer possible due to a rebalanced Focus Mode. Targeting more than one wound will now have a delay between them and trigger one at a time.
In addition, there are overall adjustments to hit detection and low damage output compared to past Monster Hunter games to increase the level of lower-performing weapons to match the meta ones.
