Accept the Smithy's Seal of Quality Quest

1 Smithy Seal quest
Talk to Gemma in any of the base camps to start the side mission. After her dialogue ends, head to Alma and accept the optional quest Smithy's Seal of Quality.
2 Lala Barina Area 12 Smithy Seal of Quality
Head to Area 12 to find Gemma as well as your target monster, Lala Barina
▶︎ Monster Hunt: Lala Barina
3 Gemma Location.png
Return to Gemma in any of the base camps to complete this side-quest. She will now be unlocked as a hunting assistant as a reward for completing it.

Use Gemma's Prototype Snare

Gemma Prototype Snare
Head to Area 12 where you can also find Lala Barina and wait for Gemma to set up her trap.

Lure the Lala Barina into the pitfall trap to complete this optional objective, as well as leaving the Lala Barina defenseless for a few moments.
