Curioshell Crab can be found in Areas 6, 14, and 17 of the Windward Plains. They can also be found in some areas of the Scarlet Forest, Oilwell Basin, Iceshard Cliffs, and Ruins of Wyveria.

How to Catch Curioshell Crab
Use the Capture Net and Quickly Capture It
Once you see the small and elusive Curioshell Crab, have your Capture Net at the ready. Attempt to catch it quickly as it runs away fast once it spots you.
Wear Ghillie Mantle Before Capturing
On the lucky chance that you get to see Curioshell Crab before it sees you, make sure to put on your Ghillie Mantle before attempting to catch it. This way it won't run away when you approach it.
It's especially important to put on the Ghillie Mantle first when you're attempting to catch it in Areas 6 and 17 of Windward Plains, as you have to climb ivy before getting to see it. It might spot you and run away before you even finish climbing.
