Title Update 2 for Monster Hunter Wilds is now live! The update was released on June 30, 2025 at 12:30 AM EDT. This update added Lagiacrus, Seregios, and Arch-tempered Uth Duna, a new Seasonal Event, layered weapons, and a new wave of Event Quests to the game.
Title Updates Roadmap and Schedule

Lagiacrus returns in Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2. This marks its return to the series since its last appearance in Monster Hunter Generations. Its arrival also comes with its own unique underwater combat feature! You have to be HR31+ to hunt it in the Scarlet Forest.
Lagiacrus Release Date and Monster Info

Seregios, a flying wyvern that debuted in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, has returned in Title Update 2! It will also be available from HR31 and appears in the Windward Plains.

Festival of Accord: Flamefete Event Guide

As with the previous title update, we can expect more Event Quests to drop throughout the summer for Title Update 2. The first of these is An Inferno Laid Bare, which award the Pinion Necklace and Felyne Bell Collar armor sets.
Event Quests Schedule and Rewards

Monster Hunter Wilds will also be having a special collaboration with Fender. Players who finish the limited-time event quest will receive a gesture that features the Monster Hunter Rathalos Telecaster guitar.

・Hunter layered armor: 1 series (5 pieces) ・Pendants: 6 (Color variation) ・Gesture sets: 2 ・Hairstyles: 2 ・Makeup/Facepaint: 2 ・Sticker set: 1 |
Cosmetic DLC Pack 2 has an expected release date of Summer 2025 which happens to line up with the update. The first pack also arrived with TU1, so it's likely the second pack will arrive with TU2.
Players who purchased the game's Premium Deluxe Edition or Cosmetic DLC Pass will automatically obtain the cosmetic pack.
Numerous weapons will be receiving adjustments in TU2, namely the Sword & Shield, Dual Blades, Long Sword, Hammer, Hunting Horn, Lance, Switch Axe, Charge Blade, and Heavy Bowgun.
Additionally, the weapons mentioned above, as well as the Light Bowgun and the Bow, will be receiving bug fixes.

Layered Weapons have been confirmed as incoming content in TU2! These work similarly to the Layered Armor pictured above, in that they change your weapon's appearance without changing what is equipped and its stats.
To use a weapon's appearance as a Layered Weapon, you must craft its final version. For Artian weapons, you will need to fully reinforce its Rarity 8 version.
The official Monster Hunter X account has also confirmed the following changes to the weapon usage statistics in the Hunter Profile:
Hunter Profile Features Explained
As confirmed by another post by the official Monster Hunter X account, the Mark of Bravery pendant will now be a Rank B reward rather than a participation reward. Players must now hit Rank B in challenge quests to get two different pendants.
Capcom also plans to uphold competitive integrity by filtering out clear times that are clearly a result of cheating from the leaderboards. Players caught cheating will no longer be eligible for leaderboard rankings or rewards moving forward.
Several improvements are coming to make claiming and restocking items easier. When activating an item loadout, the ammo pouch will automatically be restocked. There will be a "Take All" feature to Nata's Material Retrieval facility and a "Remove All Decorations" feature in the "Edit Decorations" sub-menu.
Item boxes will also be added outside of the hunter's tent in all base camps and in the Grand Hub. An outdoor item box will also be available as a camp gear option for Pop-Up Camps.
The ability to display skill information with one button press will be added. This will enable you to view skill information more easily on various screens.
Numerous updates will be added in TU2 that will improve game stability for those playing the game on Steam. DLSS4 and FSR4 will be supported for graphics upscaling. The issue of increased CPU load due to shader compilation occurring during gameplay will also be fixed in the next update.
The issues concerning VRAM were highlighted in the Guild Reports.

There are also further quality-of-life (QOL) changes planned for TU2, including the ability to turn off the glowing aura that surrounds the hunters when buffed by items, improved Seikret usability, and more. Check them all out on the patch notes page for Version 1.02 below.
Update 1.020.00.00 Patch Notes (June 30)
On the official Monster Hunter X account, they've highlighted specific issues brought up by players and showed how they will address them in the form of Guild Reports. These solutions are still under development and may be subjected to change.
In an attempt to optimize the performance of the game on Steam, the amount of VRAM used by texture streaming has been reduced. The issue of the "Estimaded VRAM Usage" value in the Display/Graphics Settings being calculated lower than the actual value has also been addressed. The actual value will display accurately, but at the cost of the "Estimaded VRAM Usage" being higher.
Despite these improvements, there will be no changes to the current minimum or recommended system requirements. However it is advised to review your Display and Graphics settings after TU2 comes out.
PC Requirements and Recommended Specs

There's an issue where the map couldn't be accessed immediately due to the notifications and important chat appearing on the right side of the screen. This is because the button to skip these notifications is the same one to access the map by default. To address this, the skip function for important chat has been removed.
Additionally, focusing on a large monster in the map will no longer automatically change the map levels.
Interactive Map and List of Locations
The speed, in which Seikret picks up the player, has now been increased, making riding Seikret smoother and faster. Upon calling Seikret, the speed of their reaction to key input after mounting them has also been increased.
Seikret Mount Features and Abilities

On top of the aforementioned weapon adjustments that are coming in TU2, additional buffs will be coming to several weapons in August. This update will most likely come with the Version 1.021 update in Early August. The weapons to receive buffs in the update will be the Dual Blades, Hunting Horn, Lance, Light Bowgun, and Heavy Bowgun.

After doing the major quests from TU2, there are still hidden upgrade paths at the bottom of the sns, ls, and gl trees. Does anybody know how to unlock these? Are they possibly future event weapons?
