Improved Hitstop and Sound Effects
Thanks to player feedback, improvements were made to hitstop and sound effects. This makes attacks have more impact, particularly for big moves and finishers.

Mitigated Friendly Fire for Most Weapon Types

Mitigated Friendly Fire for Most Weapon Types
Friendly fire is mitigated for most weapon types such as the Great Sword and Gunlance. The full version includes further mitigation of friendly fire for the Hammer's Upswing and the Gunlance's Wyvern Fire, making Hunters stagger instead of flying away.

Shockproof Jewel

Players can use the Shockproof Jewel to nullify damage reactions. This replaces the Brace Jewel from Monster Hunter World.

Monsters Changing Areas

The Pre-Launch Community Update stream mentions adjusting the frequency of monsters moving to different areas. They revealed that this was a bug and are planning to adjust it to make it similar to Monster Hunter World.

Pop-Up Camps and Fast Travel

Players are able to use Pop-up Camps and Fast Travel in the full version of the game. You can put Pop-up Camps in monster lairs so you can fast travel once the monster starts limping back to its lair.

Weapon Adjustments

Insect Glaive

Insect Glaive's aerial combo, Vaulting Dance, is now back in the game. Aerial attack power also increases by two levels each time you vault. In addition, an offset effect has been added at the begining of Descending Slash.

Orange Extract effect now negates knockback while the weapon is drawn. Red, White, and Orange extract now also mitigates wind pressure, tremors, and roar similar to Monster Hunter World.

Lance

The Lance's moveset was refined and chaining combos are smoother, increasing the blocking and movement options for the weapon.

Other adjustments include allowing guarding while charging and chaining into any other move when using Charge Counter. Perfect Guard and Power Guard can now be chained into a new move.

Power Guard now charges to higher levels more quickly when successfully used against more powerful monster attacks.

Other Weapon Adjustments

Focus Mode was rebalanced so that it is no longer possible to target multiple wounds at once. If you target multiple wounds, they will trigger one at a time with delay.

In addition, there are overally adjustments to hit detection and low damage output compared to past Monster Hunter games. The idea is to increase the level of lower performing weapons to match the meta ones.

Skill Adjustments

Skills that were mostly tied to weapon mechanics are now tied to weapons. This means that this allows you to make your skills relevant when switching weapons during a hunt.

In addition, skills on weapons will never disappear when you upgrade them as long as they are within the same skill tree.
