Complete the Forest Findings Quest
Defeating Congalala marks the completion of the Forest Findings quest in Chapter 1, and side missions are now unlocked. Side Missions can now be initiated by talking to different inhabitants in each region.

Side Missions Rewards
Provides a Significant Increase in Hunter Rank
Progressing through Chapter 4 would require the hunter to increase their hunter rank in order to progress to the next mission. Side Quests are a great way to increase your Hunter rank, as they provide a lot of Hunter Rank points upon completion.
Additional Materials and Items
Side missions are an alternative way to gain additional items and materials. Completing side quests provides the hunter with rewards based on the type of side mission completed.
Functional Rewards
Side missions also offer functional rewards, like Palico Skills, and Hunting Assistants. These are items or gameplay mechanics that can change the way you play the game.

Provides Rewards and Additional Hunter Rank Points
In addition to breaking up the monotony of normal hunting, Side Missions are a great way to earn additional rewards and Hunter Rank points.

Fishing Missions
There are 5 fishing quests in total, all of which are related to Kanya's enthusiasm and passion in sharing her fishing experience with our hunter. This introduces you to the different fishing rod mechanics and aquatic life of Monster Hunter Wilds.
Material Retrieval Missions
There are 4 Material Retrieval missions in total. Completing Material Retrieval missions will unlock a Material Gatherer in a specific region. These are people in settlements that can passively gather crafting materials for you.

Palico Missions
There are 5 Palico missions in total. The Palico questline would have the hunter venturing into different areas, capturing endemic life, or participating in hunts. Complete the entire questline to unlock all available Palico Support Moves.
Charm Missions
There are 2 Charm missions in total. Completing this Questline will reward you with 2 unique talismans the Powercharm, and the Armorcharm from the two Guild members that are posted in Suja, Peaks of Accord.

Hunting Assistant Missions
There are 2 Hunting Assistant missions in total.Completing this Questline will unlock Hunting Assistants! You'll now be able to have them help you out on specific areas as an extra helper during your hunts.
Great Hunt Missions
There are 5 Side Missions in total that you can unlock in High Rank. You can unlock these quests by meeting the conditions required for each Side Mission and accepting the attached Optional Quest. Taking on this quest will let you do Great Hunts.

Endemic Research Missions
There are 6 Endemic Research Missions in total that is shared between Samin and Dareel, and their goal to complete the investigation of the Easternland's local Endemic Life.

Other Hunting Missions
In this type of side mission, the Hunter is tasked with hunting certain monsters. The Hunter will be asked to turn in a monster material gained by participating in the hunt. Side missions that prompt the hunter to kill a monster will become an Optional quest.
