Dareel's Research Report is unlocked during Chapter 1, after you have completed the A Hunter's Pride mission.
Dareel has asked you to capture one of the Tracktail Lizards in Windward Plains. This will teach you how to properly use the Capture net. Tracktail Lizards are easily scared away so use a Ghillie Mantle before you try approaching them to prevent them from fleeing.

Samin's Research Report is unlocked after you have completed the Dareel's Research Report.
Dapperwings can be found in the Scarlet Forest, they appear green during Fallow, and turn vibrant when they molt in the Plenty. Similar to the Tracktail Lizard you can use the Ghillie Mantle to prevent it from fleeing.

Dareel's Research Report (Cont.) is unlocked during Chapter 4, after you have completed the New Ecosystems Mission and the Samin's Research Report Side Mission.
The Ember Rufflizards usually stay on areas that have high temperatures. We recommend starting in the lower areas since these places are hotter, then make your way up. Their bright green skin will easily stand out from the environment.

Samin's Research Report (Cont.) is unlocked after you have completed the Dareel's Research Report (Cont.).
Make sure to use the Capture Net to catch a Rime Beetle instead of your interaction button, this will let you catch it instead of getting a slinger ammo. You can easily track their location by selecting it as a waypoint through the map.

Dareel's Special Research Report is unlocked during Chapter 4, after you have completed the Wyvern Sparks and Rose Thorns Main Mission and the Samin's Research Report (Cont.) Side Mission.
Gillopods can be found in the Ruins of Wyveria, and can be accompanied by Pillopod. It is blue colored and larger than a Pillopod. They are usually found sticking to the walls. You might also have a higher chance of sighting it during Inclemency and Plenty weather.

Samin's Special Research Report is unlocked after you have completed the Dareel's Special Research Report.
The Sandstar will only appear during night. Make sure to go to the area as soon as night falls to maximize your time to search. Because they are sensitive to sound they can flee really easily, use a Screamer Pod to Stun it then use the Capture Net to catch it.

Endemic Research Questline
Unlocks after Forest Findings in Chapter 1
The Endemic Research questline is shared between Dareel and Samin rival reasearchers from the guild. This will introduce you to the different Endemic creatures that exist in Monster Hunter Wilds. Both be found in the Windward Plains Base Camp Command Tent, regardless of where the target Endemic creature is.
