Different Types of Optional Quests |
---|
|
Optional quests are non-compulsory content that can be completed for rewards. Players can choose to ignore them, but completing these quests often provides significant rewards that make them worth doing. There are different types of optional quests, and each type requires the hunter to complete a goal related to that type of quest. The majority of quests would have the Hunter fighting monsters, but some can be completed without ever engaging in combat
Hunting quests require the hunter to kill one or more targets in order to complete the quest. Other targets may appear in the quest, but they can be safely ignored as only the designated target is needed to complete the quest.
Hunters are often tasked with hunting large monsters, but they may also be tasked with hunting multiple smaller monsters. Monsters can either be killed or captured, unless it is specifically stated that you must capture the monster to complete the quest.
In this type of optional quest, targets must be eliminated to fulfill the quest conditions. Capturing the target will result in mission failure, so Hunters should strictly stick to killing the target.

Hi Anon. Thank you for pointing this out! We've updated our guide to show Yian Kut-Ku as the target monster instead of Rey Dau. Our Aberrant Atrocity Guide already mentions that you'll be hunting a Frenzied version as well, so feel free to check it out for mission-related specifics. Hope this helps! :)
