Are Mods Bannable?
Yes, Using Mods Can Lead to a Ban
Capcom has stated in a post on their official X account that players who are found cheating or engaging in unauthorized modifications will be subject to penalties, including account suspension.
Modded Quests Will be Filtered
In the same post on X mentioned above, Capcom will also improve the filtering of modded quests, ensuring they no longer appear at the Quest Counter. If such quests do show up at the Quest Counter, players will receive an error if they accept the quest.
Modded quests are illegitimate or tampered quests are that have been altered using third-party software to modify parameters such as rewards, targets, time limit, and the like.
Normal Quest Parameters

| Artian Materials | Only obtainable through tempered monster quests or Zoh Shia quests. |
| Reward Money | 11,160 ~ 67,320 Zenny |
| Time Limit |
25 ~ 50 minutes (in 5 minute intervals) |
| Failure Conditions | Fainting a max of 3 times. |
The table above shows the normal quest parameters. Quests that meet the conditions above are safe to accept.
Use of Unreleased Content Can Result in a Ban
In a separate X post, Capcom also confirmed that using unreleased content by using mods is also considered cheating, and can result in a ban.
Players are encouraged to report cheating and other disruptive behavior through their Hunter Profile by selecting Report.
How to Report Players

 Take note of the name of the player you wish to report. Select Member List on the menu. |

 Find them in the list of names. You can most likely find them in the Past Interactions or Lobby tab. Select the name of the player and choose View Hunter Profile. |

 Hit L1 or LB (Q-key on keyboard) to go to their Hunter Profile and hit Report. Choose the reason why you're reporting the player and confirm. |
