List of Contents

You can get the Water Gun gesture for free by claiming a login bonus during the Festival of Accord: Flamefete Event, which is available from July 22 until August 12, 2025 (ET). Do note that you can only claim this gesture while the festival is active. If you haven't claimed it after the event is over, you'll have to wait for the next run of the festival in the future.
Festival of Accord: Flamefete Event Guide
The Water Gun gesture can be accessed in the Gestures tab of the Communication menu. You can also slot this gesture in your Radial Menu for faster access.
This gesture is a fun way to interact with your fellow hunters. Just make sure not to get constantly blasted with water as it does stagger you!
While it's a funny effect of the geture to give hunters a wet appearance, this can actually trigger the the Swimmer Meal food skill! Utilize it if you'd like an attack boost of +3 while wet!
Using the gesture on your Palico shows fun reactions from your Felyne friend. You can also do this to other hunters' Palicos as well!
This gesture can also cause some NPCs like Gemma and Nata to react in fun ways. Try it out on your favorite characters and see how they react!
List of Characters and All Voice Actors
While we don't recommend fighting any Large Monster with this gesture alone, it's amusing to note that the Water Gun gesture does deal minimal damage to monsters! However it's still advised to use regular weapons in hunts to avoid complications.
When used on Wylk Crystals, the white crystals that protude from the ground in the Ruins of Wyveria, the Water Gun gesture activates a Water blast from them. You can use this to deal decent damage to monsters!
