Restart Steam if You Can’t Download
Monster Hunter Wilds is available on Steam now. If you can't download it, we suggest trying to restart Steam.
Remember that pressing X at the upper right corner won't be enough. You have to End Task of Steam in the Task Manager!
Restart Steam if There Are Unpacking Errors
The game's filed needs to be unpacked even if you preloaded the game before its release. If this does not automatically occur, you can restart Steam to fix this issue.

Restart PC if You Can’t Start the Game
There is a known problem where you can't start the game once it's downloaded and unzippped by Steam. When this happen, you can restart your PC all together. You can also try this solution if the game won't open after a game crash.
Disable AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics in Device Manager
If the game still doesn't work after trying all the solutions above, you can try disabling “AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics” in the Device Manager.
Wait if There Are Server Issues
Once you see the words "Server is connecting”, please patiently wait until the game starts. This just means that the servers are mostly full, and the game is doing its best to find one where you can join. This may happen a lot as Monster Hunter Wilds is highly popular.
Anti-Tamper Fix
The Anti-Tamper may happen due to the game having Denuvo. The best solution is to delete your Monster Hunter Wilds crash logs.
After deleting the crash logs, try restarting your PC and launch Monster Hunter Wilds as Administrator.

Verify or Reinstall Game Files
You can also verify your game files to check for any corrupt files causing problems. If a faulty file is found and verifying doesn’t fix it, a full reinstall should do the trick.
To verify game files, simply right-click the game in your library and go to Properties. Click the Installed Files tab, and you should see the Verify Integrity of Game Files option here.
Update DirectX to the Latest Version
If your DirectX is outdated, make sure to update it to the latest version. Leaving it outdated may also cause issues when launching the game.
Add the Game to the Anti-Virus Exception List
It's also likely that the game isn't running because the files in your folder are being detected as a virus or malware. If this is the case, make sure to add the game as an exception in your antivirus program.
Disable Compatibility Mode
Locate the .exe file of Monster Hunter Wilds and right-click to open Properties. If it’s set to run in compatibility mode, disable it. Make sure to do this for Steam as well.
Check Available Disk Space
If you're having trouble downloading the game, make sure you have enough disk space. A lack of space may be the reason why you're unable to install it.
Clear Cache
If you're still having trouble downloading the game, try clearing the cache. You can do this by going to the Settings, selecting Downloads, and choosing the Clear Cache option.
Repair the Steam Library Folders
If you're still unable to download the game, check the Steam Library Folders, as they may be causing the issue. You can also fix this under the Settings and Downloads options, similar to the Clear Cache option.
