Mystery Bone is an Equipment Material in Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds). See the location of Mystery Bone and how to get it, as well as how to farm it and its uses.

Mystery Bones are best farmed in Low Rank Windward Plains as it has the most Bonepile nodes compared to other locations. Note that Mystery Bones can also be obtained in the High Rank version of Windward Plains.
Make sure to set the environment to Plenty by resting in your tent, if it isn't already, to increase the chances of getting Mystery Bones.

Mystery Bones can also be obtained from regular Bonepiles found in all locales. These Bonepiles have a 15 minute cooldown, but can be bypassed by starting an Optional Quest and then selecting "Return from Quest" in the menu.
Equip armor with at least 1 level in Geologist to maximize efficiency when gathering from Bonepiles. You can find a Chainmail Armor Set in your item box which is available at the start of the game.
After defeating a small monster, its corpse will decay before turning into a bonepile if not carved within 6 minutes. When the corpse enters its decaying state, it has a chance of yielding a Mystery Bone when carved. Upon becoming a bonepile, it will be gatherable three times, just like a regular bonepile.

Bonepiles that are spawned from small monsters will yield twice as much materials as a regular bonepile with the downside of having to wait for at least 6 minutes.
