Armor Spheres, essential for upgrading gear, are crafted by smelting monster parts. Higher-tier Armor Spheres require more smelting points, consuming either many low-rarity monster parts or fewer high-quality ones.

You can select which materials to use, ensuring that valuable monster parts needed for forging weapons remain untouched.

You will also be able to smelt Artian Weapon ores, which are used to upgrade them, once you slay Nu Udra during Chapter 5's A World Turned Upside Down mission.

Once you defeat this Apex monster, Roqul will now be able to make these ores at the foundry.

Use Monster Parts to Smelt

Each monster part has an assigned smelting point value, shown on the right side of the material menu. When selected, these points contribute to filling the smelting point gauge on the left.

When the gauge reaches its maximum, a whole Armor Sphere or Artian Weapon ore is counted on the top left, and any excess smelting points roll over to the next gauge.

Once you’ve accumulated the desired number of Armor Spheres or ores, press the Smelt button at the bottom of the material menu to finalize the process.

Auto Smelting

Monster Hunter Wilds Auto Smelt

There is also an option to automate the smelting process by selecting the Auto Smelt tab on the smelting interface.

This method prioritizes smelting the highest quality of the item, using the necessary monster parts to meet the required smelting points. Don’t worry—you’ll get a preview of all materials used before confirming!
