Escorting Nata and Ysai
| 1 |  After making the necessary preparations, talk to Alma to begin the escort quest. In this section, the hunter and the group will travel to Ysai and Nata's village via Seikrets. In the dialog with Alma, select the "Yeah, let's head out " option when you are ready to continue. |

| 2 |  Continue following Nata and Ysai. The hunter can use the slinger to collect items they come across. ┗ Observe the Monsters |
| 3 |  The group will eventually reach the area where the hunter can gather the much-needed honey for the provisions team. Once the Hunter has gathered three pieces of Honey, the team will continue their trek towards the village. |
| 4 |  Once the party reaches the village of Whispering Winds, they will find Zatoh waiting for Nata and Ysai. After parting ways, the hunter and Alma will attempt to return to base camp on foot. |
Observe the Monsters
On the way to their destination, the hunter may choose to approach passive monsters such as Dalthydon and Ceratanoth. This will prompt Alma to share more information about these monsters with the party.
Return to the Base Camp
| 1 |  On the way to the base camp, the hunter will come across some bulaqchi. Alma will give permission to fight them, and the hunter will have to kill 7 bulaqchi to advance. After the cutscene ends, follow Alma until you reach the camp. |

| 2 |  After arriving safely at the camp, talk to Jack and give him the honey you collected earlier. He will give you access to the provisions store, as well as the hunter's essential tools. Take this chance to stock up on much-needed supplies. |
| 3 |  Next, go to Gemma and she will provide the hunter with some iron ore. This material can be used to upgrade the Hunter's weapon of choice, increasing its damage output. |
Head towards the SOS Flare
| 1 |  Alma will inform the Hunter that the support team has not yet returned. An SoS flare will be fired, which the hunter must respond to. Just follow the scoutflies until you reach the target. |

| 2 |  The support team is in trouble and is currently being pursued by a Quematrice, and the Hunter must kill the Quematrice to complete the Hot on Their Tails quest. Ysai will provide the hunter with a Seikret and can be used during this hunt. ▶ Monster Hunt: Quematrice |
| 3 |  After Defeating the Quematrice, the hunter and the party would continue the conversation at the base camp. The hunter will then be prompted to talk to other people in base camp. |
| 4 |  The hunter can now talk to Tom at the Ingredient Center, allowing access to meals. ┗ Unlock Meals and Bonus Stats |
| 5 |  Talk to Ferdinand the Researcher to unlock the Monster Field Guide. The field guide can be used to record information about monsters the hunter encounters. ┗ Talk to Nata and Alma |
| 6 |  When you are done talking to the people in the camp, talk to Ysai and the group will return to Ysai's village. |
Talk to Nata and Alma
The hunter can choose to talk to Nata and/or Alma for some additional dialog; these can be skipped, but the hunter can choose to do them if they want to learn more about the characters.
How to Unlock Meals
Talking to Tom at the Ingredient Center unlocks the Meal Mechanic, which provides bonuses to the hunter after he eats a meal.
Meals provide significant buffs, such as an increase to Health or Stamina. The buffs that the meal would provide depend on the ingredients used, so it is recommended that hunters always eat meals before beginning a hunt.
Enter Kunafa
| 1 |  Follow Ysai to his village. It's exactly the same escort mission, but the hunter doesn't have to collect honey this time. |

| 2 |  Once inside the village, talk to the woman tending the fire for some dialogue. |
| 3 |  Next, talk to Elder Ela. She will warn the group about the oncoming Sandtide Storm. |
| 3 |  After speaking with Elder Ela, go to Ysai's house. Ysai's family would provide the hunter with a meal with many buffs. After the cutscene, the player would be rewarded for completing the mission, marking the end of this section of the chapter. |

| Quematrice Fight Tips | ||||||||||||||
 Quematrice can set alight flammable targets with it's spin attack. Make sure to avoid this attack, while being wary of your surroundings. Some of Quematrice's attacks can cause Fireblight. Use a nulberry or dodge several times repeatedly to remove it.There are paratoads and vine traps in the area. Use them to disable Quematrice for a short time, allowing you to attack unopposed. |
