Arch-Tempered Monsters are stronger versions of Tempered monsters that unlock Gamma (γ) armor in Monster Hunter Wilds. Read on for a list of Arch-Tempered Monsters in the game and learn more about this tougher version of monsters!

Arch-Tempered Nu Udra
Arch-Tempered Nu Udra is now available to hunt in a permanent event quest starting October 22, 2025 as part of Title Update 3. Hunters will need to be HR 100 or above to unlock it.
Arch-Tempered Uth Duna
Arch-Tempered Uth Duna is permanently available to hunt starting July 22, 2025 (ET), the same time Festival of Accord: Flamefete began. AT Uth Duna is accessible in the These Roots Run Deep Event Quest and The Daunting Downpour Free Challenge Quest. Both are accessible at HR50!
Arch-Tempered Uth Duna was revealed as part of Title Update 2 during the Capcom Spotlight livestream that aired on June 26, 2025.

Arch-Tempered Uth Duna Release Date and Armor Set
Arch-Tempered Rey Dau
Arch-Tempered Rey Dau appears in Event Quest A Silent Flash and in the Free Challenge quest The Shining Storm Rages. The Event Quest is permanently available starting July 22, 2025 (ET) alongside AT Uth Duna.
However, the Free Challenge Quest is no longer available. Any unused Rey Dau Certificate γ may still be used to forge Rey Dau γ Armor pieces.

What are Arch-Tempered Monsters?
Stronger Versions of Tempered Monsters
Arch-Tempered monsters are stronger, more lethal versions of Tempered variants. These tougher versions have more health and can deal more damage from their attacks, and they usually have new strings of attacks compared to the regular ones, making them very formidable monsters to face!
Like Tempered monsters, Arch-Tempered monster only appear in High Rank.
Unlocks Gamma (γ) Armor
Beating Arch-Tempered monsters will grant valuable materials which will unlock new Gamma (γ) versions of an armor set. These typically have more if not better armor skills, decoration slots, and defense than Alpha (α) and Beta (β) sets.
Encountered from Event and Free Challenge Quests
Arch-Tempered monsters can be encountered from limited-time Event and Free Challenge Quests after Title Update 1. These quests are only available for those who have already reached a high enough HR.
This means Arch-Tempered monsters can only be fought while their respective quest is active.
