Critical Boost is a Weapon Skill in Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) that boosts the damage of critical hits. See how much Critical Boost increases critical hit damage, along with the list of weapons with the Critical Boost skill.

Critical Boost Skill
Increases the damage of critical hits.
Level Effect
1 Increases damage dealt by critical hits to 28%.
2 Increases damage dealt by critical hits to 31%.
3 Increases damage dealt by critical hits to 34%.
4 Increases damage dealt by critical hits to 37%.
5 Increases damage dealt by critical hits to 40%.

Critical Boost increases the damage of Critical Hits by three percent (3%) per level. This value is added to the base Critical Damage of 25% (x1.25), so slotting in a Critical Boost 1, for example, will give you a Critical Damage of 28% (x1.28).

This skill should not be confused with Critical Eye, which increases your Affinity instead of your Critical Damage.

Critical Hits Are Indicated By a Red Line

Critical Hit

Critical hits happen when a player's attack number has a red overline, similar to the photo above. Whenever the player triggers a critical hit, Critical Boost instantly applies a multiplier based on its current level.
