Monster Hunter Wilds Zenny Farming Guide

Zenny is the primary currency used to buy and craft items and gear in Monster Hunter Wilds. See the best way to farm Zenny, other methods of farming, and its primary uses in this guide!

Best Zenny Farming Method

Farm Gold and Platinum Scales

Gold Scales and Platinum Scales are among the best items to sell in the game, earning you 1,000–2,000 Zenny each. Fortunately, these items can be farmed easily between Scarlet Forest Area 8, and Windward Plains Area 14 as soon as you unlock the former region!

These spots are rich in Platinumfish and Goldenfish, which yield Platinum and Gold Scales respectively, and can be caught using your Capture Net. Simply fast travel between the two areas and keep farming until you're ready to sell them to Jack!

Earn About 48,000 Zenny and 1,500 Guild Points per Catch

Before First Catch
After First Catch

Every catch made between Scarlet Forest Area 8 and Windward Plains Area 14 can net you around 48,000 Zenny and 1,500 Guild Points, which can be completed as fast as 3 minutes per catch rotation.

Goldenfish and Platinumfish Farming Guide

1 Open Pop-Up Camps
Scarlet Forest: Area 8

Windward Plains: Area 14

Before you begin your fish farming process, make sure that you have Pop-Up Camps set up in Area 8 of the Scarlet Forest, and Area 14 of the Windward Plains.

This will allow you to traverse both areas in an alternating fashion, where both Goldenfish and Platinum fish spawn.
*
Tip: Make sure that your weather is set to Plenty in Scarlet Forest. Goldenfish and Platinumfish will appear within the area during different weather conditions, though Plenty weather spawns more of them.

2 Catch Fish in Scarlet Forest Area 8

Upon reaching Scarlet Forest Area 8, head to a secret area behind a waterfall northwest of the map. Catch all of the Goldenfish and Platinumfish that spawn with your Capture Net
3 Catch Fish in Windward Plains Area 14

Now in Windward Plains, head north from the Pop-Up Camp in Area 14, follow the path until you reach the pond that spawns Goldenfish and Platinumfish, and haul them in.
4 Rinse and Repeat, Then Sell Items

After catching all the fish in Windward Plains Area 14, you can return to Scarlet Forest Area 8, where the Goldenfish and Platinumfish will have respawned, and continue farming between the two locations until you're satisfied.

Afterward, you can head back to the Windward Plains Base Camp and sell your items to Jack to reel in a big profit!

Forging and Upgrading Weapons

Monster Hunter Wilds Forging and Upgrading Weapons

Forging and upgrading weapons requires a hefty amount of Zenny, especially if you're unlocking multiple weapon nodes or upgrading them all at once.

Since Gemma's labor isn’t free, things can get expensive fast! Make sure to manage your funds wisely to avoid running out of Zenny when you need it most.

Purchasing Provisions

You can also spend a portion of your Zenny toward purchasing provisionary supplies from Arthur when you need it. Although since most of his wares are craftable, it's often better to make them yourself and save your Zenny!
