Gogmazios

Gogmazios, a returning Elder Dragon from Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, marks its re-entry in Title Update 4, which dropped on December 15, 2025. This is this game's first formal introduction to an Elder Dragon.

Gogmazios is found in the Forgotten Machineworks of the Oilwell Basin. Its materials are used not only for crafting armor but also for upgrading regular Artian Weapons into Gogma Artian Weapons.

No Other Elder Dragons on Release

Arkveld

Before Gogmazios, there were technically no Elder Dragons in Monster Hunter Wilds. Arkveld, the game's flagship monster, is not categorized as an Elder Dragon, and Zoh Shia, though having similar properties to an Elder Dragon, is classifed as a Construct.

Gore Magala Is In the Game

MH Wilds - Gore Magala Frenzy

The iconic Gore Magala is in Monster Hunter Wilds. While not an Elder Dragon itself, it is known to transform into the Elder Dragon Shagaru Magala. However, Shagaru Magalu itself is not in the game on release.

Major Focus is on Apex Monsters

Uth Duna

While there is only one known Elder Dragon coming to the game for now in Title Update 4, the biggest threats so far are represented by Apex Monsters, such as Rey Dau and Uth Duna. They are not classified as Elder Dragons but are powerful regardless.
