9 Star quests start appearing on the map as potential Investigations or Field Surveys when you reach Hunter Rank 100 (HR 100). These 9 Star quests have target monsters that are Tempered Variants and have Glowing Stones as bonus rewards.
If you are playing in an online multiplayer lobby, you should also be able to join other players with 9 Star Monster quests through the quest board or SOS.

If there are no 9 Star quests available on the field, you can rest at a tent until you find one. Note that multiple monsters in one 9 Star quest typically reward more Glowing Stones.

9 Star Event Quests, such as The White Wonder for Blangonga, may also be available to take for a limited time. Like the Investigations, these quests have a hunter rank requirement of HR100+.

The 9 Star Blangonga from the Event Quest The White Wonder is a good farming source since its difficulty is relatively easy to average, and gives as much as 3 Glowing Stones per stack.
For other monsters, we recommend hunting Rey Dau and Arkveld. These 9 Star monsters were especially popular targets in multiplayer hunts, so you play online, you're likely to be matched with experienced players.

Lucky Vouchers will also have Glowing Stones as part of its pool, so we recommend you use these Lucky Vouchers to get more Glowing Stones if you are not farming anything else.

Above is a table showing the common amount of Glowing Stones rewarded per stack at the end of a hunt.
9 Star quests reward Glowing Stones upon completion. Glowing Stones are appraised at the end of a hunt or when melded at the Melding Pot in Suja. When appraised, they become Appraised Talismans with random skills and decoration slots.
Tougher monsters tend to drop more Glowing Stones. For example, Gore Magala often yields two Glowing Stones per stack in the bonus rewards. However, 9 Star Event Quests like The White Wonder, which give more Glowing Stones than usual for easier monsters like Blangonga, can also be available for a limited time.
