This is a guide on how to reroll Artian Weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds. See all the steps you need to do to reroll Artian Weapons, the items and materials that you need, and more!
Artian Weapon rerolling involves crafting and upgrading several Artian Weapons to check which one will have a set of Reinforcement Bonuses that you would like to have without saving the game to save on upgrade materials.
Reinforcement Bonuses per Artian Weapon crafted is tied to the order of when you made the weapon. For example, if you craft three Artian Weapons, each one will have their own set of Reinforcement Bonuses. With this, you can manipulate crafting a weapon that you want by taking note of how many weapons you need to craft before getting the desired result.
| Items and Materials for Rerolling |
|---|
| ・Three Artian Materials for your desired weapon ・Plenty of random Artian Materials used for rerolling ・Reinforcement Materials worth 15,000 points to upgrade one weapon to max level ・10,000 Zenny per Artian Weapon |
You need a lot of materials related to Artian Weapon crafting before you can try to reroll for one that you want.
Hunting various Tempered Monsters will net you with some Artian Materials, namely the Blade, Device, Disc, or Tube items that make up the weapon.
You need to stock up on these items as you will need to craft several weapons to reroll for the bonuses that you want for your desired Artian Weapon.

Reinforcement Materials are used to upgrade Artian Weapons. These work the same way as upgrading armor, as you need to fill up the required amount of points to raise the weapon's level.
Try to hoard around 50 pieces of Oricalcite, which is worth 15,000 points, to quickly max out an Artian Weapon's level. If you do not have enough Oricalcite, you can use the other ores.
| 1 | Save your game before you start the process. You can save the game manually in the game's options under the System tab. |
|---|---|
| 2 | ![]() Talk to Gemma and craft the Artian Weapon of your choice. Take note of the exact materials that you will choose, as you need to select the same ones when you reroll. |
| 2a | For Light and Heavy Bowguns, choose the materials that will use the ammo that you prefer. Do note that Light Bowguns are unable to apply rapid fire on Pierce ammo, and will only be applicable for Normal or Elemental Ammo. |
| 2b | For Hunting Horns, choose the materials that will make a Hunting Horn with your preferred songs and Echo Bubble. |
| 3 | ![]() Craft the Artian Weapon and upgrade it under the Reinforce/Dismantle option from Gemma. Use the Reinforcement Material ores that you have and upgrade the weapon to Level 5. |
| 4 | ![]() Once the weapon's level is maxed out, check all of its Reinforcement Bonuses. If you did not get the Reinforcement Bonuses that you want, head to the System tab of the game's options, select Return to Title Screen and select Return without Saving. This will bring you back to the game's title screen without saving your progress, so you can retain all of the materials that you used to craft and upgrade the weapon. |
| 4a | If you did get the Reinforcement Bonuses that you want, save the game, go back to Step 1, and craft the next Artian Weapon that you like! Do note that you need another set of Oricalcites for your next reroll attempt. |
| 5 | ![]() Head back into the game and speak to Gemma. This time, craft another Artian Weapon that has the same weapon type and rarity but with different attributes. This will be the filler weapon that will receive the set of Reinforcement Bonuses you did not want. |
| 6 | ![]() Craft your desired Artian Weapon once more, this time using the same materials from Step 2. The weapon will have different Reinforcement Bonuses, as the previous one will get the unwanted bonuses from before. |
| 7 | If you still did not get the bonuses that you like, repeat Step 4 to 6 until you get the desired weapon and bonuses. Note that you need to craft more filler weapons the more you reroll. The idea is to let filler weapons receive the Reinforcement Bonuses that you did not like. For example, on your third try, you would need to craft 2 filler weapons before crafting the weapon you want to get a new set of bonuses. |

After saving the game for the first time, craft the Artian Weapon that you want, along with your desired elemental attribute and Artian bonus.
It is important to take note of the exact material combination as this will be the same set of materials that you need to use to get your desired weapon. If one of the materials is different, the resulting weapon will also be different.

Once you have crafted your desired weapon, upgrade it via the Reinforce option from Gemma and use 15,000 points worth of Reinforcement Materials to raise the weapon's level to five.
Upgrading an Artian Weapon will grant it random Reinforcement Bonuses. You can keep the weapon if you get the bonuses that you'd like for it to have, but if you don't, you can start rerolling for it by quiting to the game's title screen without saving your progress.
After getting back into the game, craft an Artian Weapon that has the same weapon type and rarity from the one that you'd like to get, but this time, choose a different combination of materials than the ones that you originally chose, then upgrade it to the max level.
Doing this will let the new weapon get the unwanted bonuses from the previous weapon, and the next one that you will craft will have different Reinforcement Bonuses.

After crafting and upgrading the weapon from Step 5, craft another Artian Weapon from Gemma, but this time, use the materials that will make the weapon that you want. After crafting, upgrade the weapon to its max level and check if it now has the Reinforcement Bonuses that you'd like.
If you still did not get any bonuses that you'd like, repeat the process from Step 4 onwards until you get what you want!
It is recommended to reroll for Artian Weapons only if you want to get the best possible weapon that you'd like, which is to say, get the preferred Reinforcement Bonuses that you'd like on your weapon. This process will take some time and will require a lot of materials, but it is possible to do so if you are patient enough!
Do note that it's not the end of the world should you get an Artian Weapon that doesn't have all the bonuses that you want. The bonuses that you get from your weapon will not have a big impact on your hunts compared to the Weapon and Armor Skills of your build, so you should focus on that instead!

The guide is wrong. To save scrum, you need tonnes of materials and 50 upgrade mats will do. No matter what order you place, the upgrade stats are predetermined. You have to create multiple to test out which order will give you the desired stats you want. Once you find out, remember which order and create your desired weapon on that order.

Is there even any reason at all to do this? Seems like 1000% wasted effort since even poor bonuses will likely be enough for the content of the game until MR, at which point even perfect rolls won’t be very helpful? And also calling this “Rerolling” is just misleading…
