Black Eclipse is a Set Bonus Skill under the Gore Magala's Tyranny set that gives Hunters the Frenzy status even if not fighting Frenzied monsters in Monster Hunter Wilds. Learn the effects of Black Eclipse and armor sets with Black Eclipse.

Gore Magala's Tyranny Set Bonus Effects
Black Eclipse automatically gives you the Frenzy status when fighting any large monster. This enables you to reliably proc skills like Antivirus and Coalescence even if you're not fighting Frenzied monsters.

Black Eclipse gives you the Frenzy status when fighting large monsters. Although risky, it's one way to get a 15% boost to Affinity outside of hunts against Gore Magala and Frenzied Monsters.
Black Eclipse II adds a new effect, giving 10 raw attack when you get the Frenzy. 5 raw attack is given upon recovering from the status.

The table above show the results of curing Frenzy with AV and BE
Antivirus makes it easier to overcome Frenzy and increases affinity when cured. This results in a high affinity boost when combined with Black Eclipse, along with a quicker access to the 5 raw attack boost given by Black Eclipse II once the Frenzy is cured.
